  1. We've collectively lived beyond our means for a good few years in Bliar & Brown's never never land of milk and honey, where houses cost five times the average salary. Now it's time to pay. No escape, get used to it.
  2. So now we get to the truth of your carpal tunnel problems. Too much choking the bishop!
  3. So it's deffo 3 pts & a £60 FPN? 60 in a 40 puts you close to summons territory. Looks to me like you got off light. Still a total shitter though m8, but we all have to lose our virginity sometime.
  4. What, a lid or a bint with plastic tits?
  5. Exactly what I was telling Elvis and Lord Lucan only last week. You can't possibly believe that food companies are operating with your interests at heart Greg. What about those German eggs recently? And wasn't there a chap near us who got jailed for selling rancid chicken scrap to a number of food manufacturers? Etc etc......
  6. Right, no rush here but I'm going to have to replace the tyres on my ZZR1200 in the foreseeable. Money being what it is, I'm considering a set of Maxxis Supermax touring tyres. Has anyone used them and is there a reason that a set for my bike is around £130 which normally only gets me a rear fitted? Do they wear OK, and will I cack my pants if I ride in the wet?
  7. Fact is any kind of processed, prepacked food is best eaten quickly with as little thought for the contents as possible. It's something you have to do sometimes out of necessity rather than desire I'd say.
  8. Think how much your neck would hurt if your brain got heavier as it gathered information.......
  9. I had one before mate-18,000 miles in a year until I wrote it off in 2003 and aside from the usual R/R fault which let me down at 100mph on the M1 it was utterly excellent. And with a Viper twin spout can it sounded OK too I'm looking to maybe replace my Bandit in Spain with one.
  10. Would've done that anyway Dave. I'm pleased to say I'm pretty busy this week, but might find time Thursday or Friday.
  11. Been having a bit of a look and it seems to be a bit of something tagged onto a service station. If I get some time this week I'll take a blat down & see if I can get a test ride/check the place out. Looks a decent price for a low miles VFR800,gotta be worth a ride out.
  12. I was 4 Well I was only 21 Dave. I just have a good memory. Christ man, my memory's good, but my manual dexterity's shot. I should have typed 11.
  13. I was 4 Well I was only 21 Dave. I just have a good memory.
  14. I saw the mighty Jeff play at Forest around 1968 IIRC. He scored the winner in a 3-2 win for the Baggies. Not sure I'd call him a legend mind you
  15. Anyone in the Leicester area ever dealt with Spenders Motorcycles at Kibworth? They've got a bike in I wouldn't mind a look over, but I don't want to bother if it's another Midland Superbikes. Any info gratefully received.
  16. Without wishing to be pedantic take off speed for most airliners is around 165-170 mph. A decent 1 litre+ bike could have it clean till it gets airborne.
  17. I'm no race fan-I know the main protagonists in MotoGP so I'll somewhat reservedly go for: 1. Lorenzo 2. Pedrosa 3. Rossi Expect that to be horibly wrong next autumn
  18. 155 on my ZZR, 145 in the Audi A6 I used to be provided with. All on private roads of course.

alright Greg, welcome I'm just down the road in mucky 'ucknall. don't hold it against me.
  20. Good work ppl. For all I know it may be a kosher site having an off day, but it certainly pays to be careful.
  21. Jeez, those leathers & paint scheme look like they belong on a Chinese toy. Ducati, what have you allowed to happen? Jorge will do him anyway so hopefully we won't see any more of this mobile trifle than is absolutely necessary
  22. Yeah it's not me that's been burnt-I can't afford new brake lines but it's worth posting as a caveat to others. Let's be careful out there!
  23. Just found this on another forum I frequent. Warning to all fraudulent online supplier I posted recently about a web-site offering 10% off brake lines.... DO NOT SHOP THERE. I am unlucky enough (after 20 years of online shopping) to have been caught out by my first online fraud / scam. The web site www.brake-lines.co.uk use the echex system to take money from your account, but they do not respond to e-mail and the phone number listed on the site does not connect / reports a fault / gives number unobtainable faults. Lesson learned here but I am not 98.00 down and feeling a bit cheesed off about it !! While investigating the company / site I have now found a few reports of this being a scam site. I am looking at how / where to report this to try and get them shut down.
