wheel polishing
fr499y replied to Chadatious's topic in Advice on Repairing and maintaining your bike
didnt use anything on mine, just nitromors... this is the result That was only the one side of the wheel as a quick go over, didnt tidy the edges up on them photos And after a few months of use with just a coat of good polish ( like meguiars or alu ) and after a winter of riding, again just by a good polish to keep it clean ( pic taken on a shitty camera phone ) -

well look at it this way.. if its your only bike, you will no doubt come off in the wet or winter.... it wasnt called a widow maker for no reason... your choice, you buy the bike you want. I've said it before asking what bike to buy is like asking what tyres to put on, its your choice do what you want not what others say. -

does this offer extend to everyone or just the girls? you can have a go aswell mate lol. Josh, the kle with the gpz top end and jetted will do about 125mph.. if i remember correctly that's about the same as a b6 mk1 will do bare in mind its also a parallel twin with a hell lot more grunt, even though its only kicking out 58/59BHP -
cracking bike tbf, been using it for the past month instaid of the zed to iron out little problems, the surging and flat spot is the last thing to do found out why it feels so springy, the shock is on the lowest setting possible, so a C spanner will be needed to crank it up a few notches, wack some air in the forks then its ready for some off road fun will get some new pics up soon

Ugh, seems i got a little problem.. about a week or so ago it started to run like shit from 5 - 7k RPM, which makes me think its running a little lean and causing a flat spot. Took carbs off and one of them was totally blocked up and the other fine. took it for a spin after and the flat spot is worse and its shooting massive flames every gear change ( up or down ), so i put the bike away till this morning as it was dark by the time i took it for a test ride. Woke up this morning to find one of the stupid pod filters that was on it when i got it, sitting under the carb between the carb and engine.. wonder if this popped off last night when i took it for a spin? No matter how hard you get the bastard on and do the clamp up, the same poxy filter pops off!!

RIP neil kent Neil Kent died after a crash at Greeba Bridge while racing on a 250cc Yamaha in the junior session. Race organisers said he was an experienced competitor who had been racing in the event since 1986. Bill Bennett, chairman of the Manx Mortorcycle Club, said Mr Kent, who won the lightweight race in last year's Grand Prix, would be sorely missed. He added: "Neil was a hugely popular competitor at the Manx Grand Prix and his victory after almost 25 years of racing in the meeting was well deserved. "He was also a hugely appropriate choice for last year's John Goodall Spirit of the Manx award."
