random kawasaki fact
dirtydog replied to dirtydog's topic in Advice on Repairing and maintaining your bike
is that because you dont get the engine braking Tony ? dont think I ride mine hard enough to make any difference Tbh i dont think i will push it enough to really notice the differance but its a trick thing to have fitted and if i decide i dont like it,its easy enough to change it back...also the slipper kit is cheaper than a standard one -
been looking at clutch kits for my zxr and posted about it on the practical sportsbike magazine fb page seeing how its their forte and was suprised to be informed that zxr's with its racing pedigree is fitted with a non active slipper clutch a guy on there was kind enough to send me this link explaining how to make it active not that its really neede on a normal road bike but its simple enough to set up and a trick thing never the less so im gonna give it a go (awaiting parts now) also someone else has supplied me with a kawasaki race tec manual pretty sure these are not avalible to the general public. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/webzxr/zxr750r/Features/slipperclutch.html although this clip is from a modern honda the technology is the same https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL99CA9EF765FEE815 cant wait to get it set up and on the road will let you know how it goes
