Basicly what you just described is MineCraft. MineCraft has hundreds of different worlds which you can explore all different than the last. You can have worlds with lots of islands, big jungles, floating islands or what have you or even try and create your own. So basicly all that exploring you said is in Terraria can be found in MineCraft as well. As for the monsters, you got little green slimes as well but I don't really need a extensive list of monsters in MineCraft because it's already got some good ones that are swarmed all over the place as it is. Making going out at night dangerous and the ability to build a home all that much more required. MineCraft also allows easy customization of the game through a well driven mod community. So if MineCraft is just about that for you, you really haven't tried to expand your gameplay. I infact like it like that because it doesn't crowd your game with useless things you'll never need or use. You can pick and choose which content you want in the game. Also I've never played a game of MineCraft where exploring wasn't required.

First of all, I wasn't suggesting your brother diddn't own the game. It was a crack at him because he stated there was nothing at all that was comparable to MineCraft and seems to suggest that all MineCraft is is putting some blocks down. You know, the crack being if you actually think that than you are one blind person (or doesn't own the game). Secondly, stone tools are realistic. Ancient civilizations used them and they were the first tools of human civilization. If you are stranded on some resource rich island, you can't just go from nothing to modern tools. You always have to start at the basics which in this case would be stone tools. Unless you can cut trees with your bare hands or mine as it were with wishful thinking than in real-life as it were you'd be attaching some sharp stone to a stick. I diddn't mean to 'attack' your brother. I just find it odd that he thinks Terraria is not copying anything from MineCraft. I also don't get how people can buy this game. I guess I am the only one who doesn't have Terraria appeal to them or see why somebody would pay good money to buy MineCraft only to shell out more money for a downgraded version of it. That's fine by me though.

Uh... MineCraft Classic keyword here "classic" is a game where you build things with blocks. MineCraft (the new one) which I am assuming you have never played before is exactly like Terraria except it's not 2D. You start off and have to collect resources, build houses and mine, farm and what have you. Terraria is a EXACT copy of MineCraft. There are other games that uses blocks but I'm not stating Terraria copies block making did I? MineCraft is it's own unique game and I was merely pointing out how direct they copied the game. They in general took the ENTIRE concept of MineCraft, packaged it into a 2D mario like game and just so they can claim they did something of there own, they added some new content that isn't in MineCraft and blam, they created Terria. As I've also stated, I will not pay additional money for a game I already own for a graphic downgraded version who's only accomplishment is to add more content for it's game than MineCraft can produce which isn't suprising since I believe it's much easier to create content for a 2d game like mario than it would be for a game like MineCraft. However, for that additional content that is the only accomplishment Terreria has over MineCraft can easily be countered with the various mods for MineCraft by the MineCraft community. Content that add things that can only be placed in a 3D game like MineCraft. Like assembling your own plane to explore a entire generated world.

I know what you meant, I was just putting out the idea based on your idea that if you clear enough worlds where you have a free world you can apply the same idea except for the creation of new projects. A world dedicated to teamwork based creating based on a picked theme. As stated in my post, for example. You pick the theme city. Everybody works on buildings, roads, etc and all create this gigantic city across the world in a teamwork based project. All connecting there work together. When that's done, screenshot there work, post it on the forums and refresh the map with a new theme. In regards to what you said, I said it was a good idea so long as it's not crossing the lines (as in somebody's work gets removed or unauthorized moving of peoples work without there permission).

IMO it's a good idea if it does not go to far. What I tried to do with my world was only build on one half of the map and was going to give my other half to any new experts or other experts that needed building room. Can probally do the same, assign a world to two experts. Assign one half of the map to each expert. It seemed most did this anyways but somehow pretty much most experts had there own worlds. You could reduce that by half this way. I do like your idea though of having a world where people pitched in on a themed project to build some combined world projects that fit the theme. That is something AITM always seemed to lack. Maybe if you managed to reduce some of the worlds, you can create a new one where you assign a theme that anybody mason+ or pupil+ whichever you can trust to behave and follow the rules to build in. Assign a building theme and everybody can work together to fill the world with that theme. Either not connected or connected like choosing city themed. Once it's full, take some screenshots and post them on the forums so everybody's work doesn't vanish and refresh the world with a new theme.

I like the idea but I also liked the idea of admin. It was a rank that could actively keep experts in check. A rank for the complete trustworthy. Why not keep the rank except not promote into it. Whenever the admins get on which seems to be mouf and by some miracle if sharok ever comes back or eric. They can keep the experts in check, make sure they are doing there jobs and without abuse. Whenever they are inactive it would be like your idea which is putting complete faith in experts. I think it's more safer because in the past there has been mix up's with experts, even some that have been abusive. It was always dealt with by a admin. Idk things just seemed to be a good balance with both experts and admins. Experts do a lot of the moderating, adepts do there whole moderating in training thing where they can follow people and check for griefing. Kick them and report them and admins just made sure the mod ranks did there job and wasn't abusing there powers. It was a good balance, it's expecially great for new experts to see how they handle there new powers. Whichever is good, atleast this topics making progress now. *bows to onion*.

Kev, lol. He posted complaints to her becoming a admin and he suggested his reasons for it. If that hurts Zelda than that's tough but if we all held our tongue at everybody that was suggested for promotion... well do I really need to say more or do you get that point? I get why you're so defensive for her but if she wants to be a admin than this is the sort of thing she needs to get use to. Being a admin is not going to be all rainbows and sunshine. Shes got a lot of responsability on her shoulders. Zhuge was merely stating that it may be to much responsability for a 13 year old girl. Let alone giving one that much power. I have trust in Zelda as I am sure Zhuge does to but if experience counts for anything, age does not mix well with positions and responsability. Expecially that of a admin. If Mouf seriously had nobody else to consider for the position than by all means, Zelda should get the job but the fact and arguement here is that logically she shouldn't get the position, atleast if shes going to be soloing the thing for awhile. As per another thing zhuge mentioned, zelda's past of having her PC getting taken away by her parents. What exactly happens when mouf is not around as much and puts all faith in zelda and one day zelda gets her PC taken away? Will be leaving AITM and any remaining active experts in the wind. Also you guys mention the same old thing of her being active, having a active admin is great but have you guys even considered if she can actually do the job? Let alone actually wants it? I am not entirely sure what the full responsability of a admin is but one thing I know is it involved maintaining the server to make sure its always working and that all worlds are working good. Does she know how to do that? I am not sure because I said before, shes a active MODERATOR a REALLY active one but shes never been the one to take the initative to pickup the slack of any admins. Something I've seen zhuge do practicly every week (why I mentioned him). Again, as I said. I have no issue with her being admin, I just think you're promoting her for the wrong reasons and passing up people who you know can do that job (if they are still active). They don't have to be on everyday, just know how to take care of the responsabilities that are entitled to the job and the maturity the be basicly the supreme authority in the server.

Hey, Yes I still check the forums every now and again to check up on you all. Not often but enough to read this topic. If my opinion means anything anyways, there is no issue with Zelda being Admin. It is my understanding that Eric is quitting or atleast going inactive and Frogger and zhuge aren't on as much as Zelda. There really is no choice. Though you have to admit that zhuge brings up some good points, I've been a gamer for a long time. Since I was a kid. Giving kids or teens complete authority always leads to drama. I've always thought Zelda acted well for her age, infact better than some adults in that power position. I think shes perhaps capable of doing the job correctly but still, age is always a issue. TBH I always thought zhuge would be the first admin, not because of all his hours and bans/kicks but because of his knowledge of how to run the server and the willingness to actually do it (like a admin should). Of my time being back, I've seen zelda take little server responsibility. It was always zhuge or eric fixing up the server. Zelda is a good moderator but the admin position I think should go towards somebody who takes more initiative in regards to the maintenance of the server. Zhuge would be at the top of the list but not sure if he wants it or has time for it. There was somebody else taking initiative for the server I forget who. Point being, zelda is a good person and moderator. If you truely have nobody else than go for it but I think you have far stronger selections to choose from... again if my opinion does mean anything. *EDIT* Also zelda don't hate me for this, as stated above. I think you're a great moderator, I have no issues with you or if you do become a admin. I think you would do alright or atleast I hope. My whole thing was just to say that you are more of a moderator than anything else, that there are people who fit more in the rank (people who actively take the initiative to maintain the server)

Yeah we got that whole world issue again where the worlds get reduced to tight spaces and all the work is gone. I am not sure what worlds are effected this time except for Tristram. I guess I'll /winfo other worlds and update the topic? Couldn't find the old topic so I made a new one. Btw what exactly is the cause of this? The line of water was a outline from Diab's world where he hosts his work. He sometimes copy and pastes his work into novice for viewing. The waterline was a mistake of the copy and paste. No harm done.

I talked to him some more, he seems like a cool guy. You have to pretty much ask him to moderate though, he doesn't do it on his own. Perhaps if he changes that I'll vote yes when he reaches 60. Hes far to new though for me to vote anything.

No issue cept I've never seen DaHams before. Yesterday was my only encounter with him so I'm assuming hes fairly new? That would be a issue with me as that gave him no time to build any trust with anybody. Unless you all know him? *EDIT* He's also got 40 hours? I thought the min was atleast 60. Hes also done zero moderating today. Never followed any novices around to check for griefing, even when no mod was around or as far as he was concerned. Checked with oherokon who's been on today with him and he said there was this griefer today that he thought DaHams was gunna check out and follow. He just built while this individual went on a griefer rampage on the server ti'll oher caught him. Perhaps tomorrow or other days may be different. So far has no intent to moderate the server.

You can use Tristram, theres lots of huge spaces for you to do it. Just remember to remove it when you are done.
