Alec, I wasn't here for that whole APC thingy or whatever but I've heard stories. So I cannot judge in regards to your situation but what I know from AITM history is we've had people high-rank, moderator positions who have done bad things and even grief. They lost there rank, some even banned. Out of those, very few try to re-earn that trust but those who keep at it and they do eventually re-earn it. Most don't keep it at enough to re-earn there positions back but some correct there mistakes and are re-trusted with the ability to rank back again. Very rare ocasions but they do happen. While this has nothing to do with your situation, point being is that whatever your situation is there is always a ability to progress in AITM. You just have to make the correct decisions and keep trying to earn peoples trust. I've learned myself that once you do that and keep at it, that trust is not forgotten. Case and point I left AITM out to dry, I was tired of playing MineCraft and just dropped it along with AITM for many months. Enough time to re-spark a interest in it and see how people at AITM were doing. To my suprise, I wasn't forgotten and diddn't have to re-earn anything back. Despite how much things have changed. Whatever your situation is, if you build trust then you won't have to worry. From the stories I've heard, you come from a server that is very much not trusted by AITM. Which shadows with there members. You can't expect automatic trust, that's something you have to earn regardless if your from APC or just some random guy visiting AITM for the first time. Trust is something you always have to earn, if it's harder for you because your from APC that's just bad but doesn't limit you from progression, as pointed out at top. Anybody can earn trust or re-earn it.

Name : King74m Date : Feb 8th Rank : Pupil - Novice Reason : Came to my attention he previously griefed with a friend of his named lowl12 who was also demoted, I caught lowl12 griefing yesterday and had banned him. Apparently had had not learned his lesson. What came to my attention is the two were formerly a griefing duo and are considered best friends IRL. King74 was recently re-promoted but considering his IRL best friend who he griefs with diddn't learn his lesson and recently griefed. I figure it's only likely King74m diddn't learn his, I am playing it safe. More Info : You all can reverse this decision if you wish to, I just feel hes a lost cause IMO. I also heard he rage quit so not like it matters anyways.

The reason why a pupils draw limit is 32 compared to a masons 10000 is because pupil is a easy rank to get but also has access to commands that can be easily abused. I've seen countless pupils griefing and abusing there powers before. As such there limit is only 32 to minimize the damage. Mason is for people who have shown they are decent builders and can be trustworthy. As such they have much higher draw limits. 32 draw is not that bad, you just have to keep re-using the command over and over again where as most usually only have to do it once. Giving them a slight advantage but not by that much. I doubt you are going to get a temp rank for the competition, such a thing would be highly irregular and bad. I am sure you understand as a server op yourself. I'd suggest get to work on building stuff in AITM that is worthy of a rank up before the contest and show your trust. If you cannot make the deadline by the contest than don't worry about it. As said you may have a highly lower draw limit but it is only a minor disadvantage. If you have skill, it will not deter you from winning the contest.

I've watched it and it's about 50/50, half of the people understand the concept and learn what they gotta do. Half just take a look around and rage. Additionally its made it easier to patrol as you still get a lot of traffic but not everybody is streaming in at the same time. IMO I've noticed a lot more builders coming around, before the spawn change. I've had to ban 130 people in a single day. Just so much griefer traffic, today so far I've only banned 6 people. It seems to lessen the griefer population, where as they use to just be-able to connect and go around griefing stuff. Now they they gotta connect, figure out what they gotta do, connect to the world then grief. Too much effort for most of them I think. I think the new spawn world has made a benefit IMO, see how it is in the next couple days.

TBH I'd rather stick to it for more time like a couple days, if it makes some people rage than so be it. I'd rather filter out all the morons than have it as is. Out of all the traffic AITM sees, 60-70% are griefers. Anything that filters them down is great, those who are not are morons who build 80 blocks worth of rainbow towers or houses and don't listen to anything of those there are maybe 1-2% worth of people can build something thats not a 80 block worth rainbow tower and can actually follow directions. That 1-2% that we actually want are the ones that are likely going to follow those directions. I don't see it as a bad thing TBH.

Name : Alexandros200 Date : Feb 04, 2012 Rank : Pupil-Mason Reason : He had 60+ hours, had a lot of buildings+pixel art. Some decent some that needed work. A for effort though. Couldn't believe he was still only a pupil. More Info : He asked for a review instead of begging for a promo which I liked and constantly wanted to show me improvements he made. I had no prior knowledge of his past griefing. He does ask a lot about requirement for artisan. I do sense a bit of a rank whore in him though which is why I only promoted him mason.
