As I said uptop, this other server fills our PVP needs. As well as serves as a backup for when the AITM SMP server is down. Classic doesn't have PVP, AITM SMP has PVP but it lacks the great effect due to lack of players and supported plugins. What I am trying to get clear is this server is NOT replacing AITM SMP. It's just filling roles AITM SMP currently does not have (which again, is perfectly fine). When AITM updates, it will have SMP and creative. Which for most people is there main source of interest but again, it still lacks players and hardcore PVP. Hence the other server.

Eric, why are you qqing? You already told me I can do this, you even said it was of a benefit as people have somewhere to go when the server is down, or doing maintenance. I have no issues with the AITM SMP server, I infact like it. However you have to admit that it severely lacks a major PVP aspect. Both due to not enough players and lack of good plugins to support it which is fine. People do there best to organize alliances and wars without any mod support. This "backup server" mainly serves as I said backup for the AITM server when it going through downtime, updates or any issues what so ever. I also said that it is also for when people crave hardcore PVP aspects that they don't get with the AITM server. The AITM still servers a major purpose. It's just not 100% what we need which is fine. I don't really see the problem having AITM as the main server and having a alt to fit our major PVP needs? But if you have changed your mind about this being a benefit for some reason?

Well you would know spindle, being from there but I see a few flaws with your post. Africa has MANY problems and there source is not JUST the west. You'd have to give yourselves a little credit as well. Unless they only teach you to blame Africas problems on the west? The west use to do a lot of resource gaining from Africa, I do mean a lot but that has pretty much all been settled down for awhile. The west now does what it can to provide what they can aid to help Africa in crisis. As well as stop the shipment of weapons to Africa which cause nothing but chaos and genocide for years. Your new source of outside strip mining of your resources comes from a country not in the west but the east. China buys rights to mine all what they can and need from Africa. All the while selling Russian AK-47 knockoffs to you as well as ammo. If you want the west to truely stop paying any interest to Africa, you are cutting ties to billions of dollars worth of aid. Majority of which comes from America. Which is split into different problems, HIV/Aids, Hunger and constructions/schooling. This does not include the individual aid of charity organizations in the west. I am not sure how much annually they spend into African help programs. Let's also not forget UN, while very incompetent and corrupt has had it's moments stopping genocide in Africa. I would know, being from Canada who supplies the troops for majority of UN's peace keeping operations. You should stop receiving that kind of help too huh? I'm sure Africa's next genocide, those with no guns can handle those with guns fairly well. I mean, that's worked in Africa's past right? I can go on and on about Africa but I don't want to do that, point being Spindle is that Africa has many problems and it's source is not only the west. It comes from the east as well and it comes from yourselves. Your comment of the west paying no interest in Africa serves nobody and would infact harm Africa more. All this help from the west where it is needed is done with little interest the west has with Africa. No interest = no aid and I'd like you to try and explain that to the Africans who require help and are currently receiving what little help they get. While it's not much or fantastic, it's enough to get them by. With Africa's population exploding all the time, being the 2nd highest population birth rates other then Asia. There are frankly too many Africans to give aid to and in the next few years that population is only getting bigger and bigger. Which is part of your HIV/Aids problem. Families have sex and have kids without thinking of consiquences. Many families in poverty have to many kids then they can support and many people have sex without protection either because it's not available to them or they cannot afford them. Hence spreading the disease. Also regarding your war list, Afghanistan for the record has no oil or outstanding resources America can gobble up. Infact the main worry up unti'll a year or so ago was if Afghanistan's new government can fund it's new military and police force after NATO leaves. After the uncovered natural resource ores such as gold and other things. The mining rights was given to China, not America. China gets Afghanistans natural resources, Afghanistan gets a source of income and NATO gets stuck with the bill for this war operation and reconstruction efforts of Afghanistan. There is no income coming from that war, there is only spending. I'm no fan of America's wars but just thought I would point out that regarding Afghanistan nobody got anything from them.

Alright I added a poll on this topic, being that other server was a bust with all the problems they had. I figured some people may not be as into as they once were. J/wing if people want to find a new hardcore PVP server with preferably factions mod installed to use as backup for when the AITM server is down or for when people want more hardcore PVP based action and sick AITM members against everybody else in complete cooperation. I voted yes because those couple days on that server were the most fun I've had in minecraft. There is nothing like hardcore PVP with organization. The addition of having AITM members to assist with duties and pretty much take over the server is one hell of a blast I'd like to see continue.

Firstly, those who are not active on the AITM classic server may infact be active on the AITM SMP server. I think so long as somebody is active on atleast one of the servers they should not be considered inactive no matter what there classic info sais. Ph0b3 for instance I've seen on the SMP server, as well as Taia. Wouldn't be fair to demote them because they prefer the AITM SMP server over classic. As per the changes that I've noticed since being back, adept is pretty much a expert in regards to the necessary moderating powers. Such as banning. We don't really need more experts. We need more adepts. As there has been quite a few promotions in regards to that rank. Expert is a rank of extreme trust, not to be promoted into because 10 is a more round number. As for your demotion, if you have earned your rank then you will stay it unless somebody deems you unworthy of it. So I wouldn't worry about you not answering novices questions, not every mod does that or wants to do that and that is fine. So long as you patrol the server when you can and ban griefers you are earning your rank. If anything, adepts are more suited for moderation duties and it's the experts that has a more liability to assist novices. With greater rank comes greater responsabilities. However if you feel you no longer wish to do the duties of the rank then you don't need to put up a poll on the forums. That's your decision and yours alone.

Lol, hollow I was just trying to help you. Give you alternate means of doing this. No need to be hostile. What you are asking is that a admin take special consideration of you to /give you items you cannot typically get. How do you think people playing on the server playing legit would feel about that?

Good job GRF, ugh as far as city goes I cannot think of anything. If the market is up I think it's pretty solid. Though I think maybe AITM can get into some organized events somewhere in or around the city. One suggested was Capture the Flag. Have some sort of Arena or something below the city or near it connected by railway. Where each side has a min-castle/house type thing. Possibly include defensive traps and such if people feel like building them (would be cool) but general idea would be to hold the flag for better defense. The flag consists of 3 blocks of coloured wool laying out in the open in some secure area in the castle. Addition to a public chest. Idea would be that the team has to find a way to breach the castle, fight there way inside and take one block of wool back to there chest at there castle at a time (can't take the whole thing). If the person carrying the wool is killed before storing it in the chest, the enemy team can reclaim the wool and place it back on there flag. First team to capture all three wool wins. Have rules like griefing the castle only is allowed in certon areas to create alternate breaching points. Everybody must wear the same type of gear, such as iron armor and weapons only or diamond armor and weapons only and no enchants to enable fair combat. Have obsticlicles outside along with mini-tunnels and alternate routes that a team can possibly take to get back to home base. Along with borders so a team cannot simply go out of bounds with the enemies flag out of viewpoint so they cannot be caught. Also enable bows and arrows so people can bring down the flag barrier before he reaches home base. I think that would be cool, anything to keep it from being just a SMP server.

I don't see the name change as a problem, it was called main because unti'll the entrance world was built it was the main world that people connected to. Being that this has changed, there is no reason to call it main anymore. If renaming it guest will help the confuzzled people out there then that's great. As for the zones, idk what you mean about that. If they are stupid enough to not understand they cannot build in spawn and have to move away from it to build, well that kinda stupidity can't be helped. Only so much we can do to direct those people on the simple ways they can go build. Another thing would maybe to have some sort of MOTD thing posting some directional message every 10 or 20 minutes. I've been doing "/say Stuck in spawn? Feeling lonely? Read the signs." and seems to work for about a quarter of them. 3-4 seem to figure out to join main after I do that that message. Having a MOTD saying something that directs them on what to do could be helpful.

Yes take your time, like everybody else has to. Minecraft ain't meant to be easy. Gathering up animals doesn't take that long. Majority of your time is going to be spent looking for them. Also you can build a bridge that extends up to your island if your island is above the water or simply create a SIMPLE water elevator (google them) using very little resources like cobble and signs. Use your mind. You'll figure it out. That seems A LOT more reasonable to me then begging admins to make a exception for you and hand you off things that you typically cannot get.

or... be inventive and find another way to get animals there. Chickens being the simplest as in grab or buy a bunch of eggs (many people have egg farms) and throw them in. For the rest, build a bridge from the main land and lead them over with wheat. After you are done, remove the bridge.

The problem in which why some feel they want to build in novice is because one of two reasons. A) They have or make friends that are novices. B) There worlds are cluttered with other peoples buildings and cannot find space to build what they want. B is the most likely, I've been to most of mason and pupil worlds and they are extremely cluttered and full. As they always pretty much have been. One solution could be asking around mason ranks who wants there buildings saved, back them up on a mason world and clean out the worlds for a fresh start and move back the buildings that people wanted saving. That way everybody can keep what they want and there is more space to build. Only optional if people are willing to have some of there work removed. If not then nothing will happen. Then repeat for pupil worlds, etc.

What? lol thats some bull. We never hit any acidius members once. We were attacking some guys named hex because they were the only ones online. Acidius just openly declared war on us out of the blue. Not that we complained as hex was non-pvp and was boring. Point being is that they declared on us, not the other way around. Also what do you mean they build a statue of us and declared are base dead lands? Confused because they are going to have trouble trying to 'force' us to pay any money when we are no longer visiting the server from all the glitches it has. Which is a shame because they were getting destroyed and we were starting to collect a lot of there enchanted gear. Not that it mattered because they abused that glitch heavily, where if we logged off we would lose our enchanted gear and spawn with crummy unenchanted iron ones. They would abuse it when they died by logging off and back in with duped copies of the ones they lost.

I got a easier solution... instead of just typing in a new IP address and bam you got don't got latency issues. Buy a ticket to North Amerca, rent a apartment in North Amerca, buy and setup your interwebz. Then stay on AITM, with no latency problems. Problem solved, your welcome.
