Difference here is being - Convention vs Mattel offerings online. Firstly all Convention cars are done in limited Qty, and so produce in advance of any others = means it supercedes all others in production. They will stall production on other series, in order these Convention pieces get made first, just so to meet timing, QC issues etc....that's why 99% all Conventions items are made in China - reason being (i'm taking wild guess here) bigger factory, more labour - thus able to handle the load. Not many other series are produced there. Basic made in Malaysia. Exclusives mostly made in Thailand. Secondly Mail-in are considered on another level of urgency - thus all these back-order issues. Hope tis make sense to you guys.

Actually it is..if you are resident there...and not many knows about the Convention, plus the guys flying in from USA and other parts of the world...assume won't reach 3000 collectors ...and each person can buy limit of x2 pc at the Convention. So guess you can just queue and queue or be smart ...eventually you just want to snap up as many your pocket allows...I WOULD! LOL
