Yeap, i can keep going on about this but let's just put it in simplest way.. you should know you're one of very very few playaz here so far who have Super Torino hunt in hand, none of us even found one. I think that's more than enough to prove my point. And btw feel free to keep sharing in this forum whatever you experienced. No problem with reporting more insider sightings and all, in fact we love hotwheels gossips. More hints especially for those hunting within same area. Whatever i have wrote i just meant it as small guide for you guys. Not saying insider thingy is something you guys should care less. Of course it sucks having to deal with these.

If i were you, i'll forget about that CP wave and look forward for whats coming next. However i'm just assuming for now that dude is indeed one of those no good insider who favors only certain customers in his list, and so i would anticipate less whatever i may be getting from there. First thing i would do is to confirm my suspicion. If somehow you learned other playaz too had previously scored good stuff here on pegs (and they can be trusted) i would have just leave it that way, not necessary to engage to staff, try to be first hand and stuff. However, if i found out indeed it's true chances of scoring is next to nothing when certain people is around, then i may just explore few possibilities.. - Just rely on right time right place idea no matter how impossible the place is, meaning you're telling yourself none of these people is there 24/7 anyway .. so just keep on hunting maybe one of these days you'll hit a jackpot (either from pegs or cases lying on floor) - Get in touch with other staff you get to know, maybe you'll get some pointers from them. As long as you do it right (not asking to reserve and all) this not necessarily means you're turning one becoming your own insider. - When you find the store's corrupted to the core perhaps taking the action, lodge official complaint and stuff is something you can do. Of course we support this, bring down the culprit and all that's good for everyone, but only when you know what you're doing. You don't champion the issue based on hearsays (like all these insiders are supposedly hwcm's fault), at cost of dividing fellow playaz. - Perhaps the best thing after all is to move on, understanding that particular store is not the one and only place to find hotwheels in Malaysia. Most important is to remember all this trying to score treasure hunts and whatever hot mainline cars is just part of fun in this hotwheels collecting aside from getting your favorite castings. Can shed some unwanted fats in your body too hehe. People like me and pydrummer, we may be determined to be one of few who can complete, but never desperate for it. You don't hold any grudge towards others just because you no longer haul as many as you used to.

Reading your story i can already spot two things you shouldn't. Firstly it's good to always seek for any staff nearby permission to open the cases. Raid, be a hoarder all you want but permission is a must. When really no one at all then normally i'll go just ahead, but will still inform them afterward. Bear in mind, bout our right as customer and all those are absolutely right, but always look at bigger picture, you don't want to be caught in a situation that made that trip possibly your last. It's nothing to do with right or wrong but when you cut yourself 'one territory' short, i think it's a waste. Furthermore if the store actually not as 'bad' as what you may have thought. Secondly the blacklisting part. Now be very clear what we mean by 'blacklisting', to us it's just that okay we know this place filled with no good insiders and so, less expectation, less visits, not gonna scout there every day when they about to restocks and all. But avoiding yourself from going there is bad idea indeed. You see, this has been discussed all the time. The deeper you try find to out influence of so called insiders in hotwheels market, the more depressed you get. What makes a good and bad insider is entirely up to individuals, like how one staff having good chat with a collector is already perceived by other as collectors as him being insider. In that case let's just say 95 percent stores out there have insiders. Now many would have been disappointed with this, so they began avoiding these places. In the end they're just doing us a favor cause none other than new collectors themselves had their great scores in such places. And they don't even need the 'expertise' of seasoned playaz to do so. Hope you get the idea.

I wouldn't know what's going on in the store you mentioned, but one thing for sure there's many possibilities for it. i) The person in charge are bound to instructions, or he just assume it's not allowed. In latter case the staff can be taught that isn't the case as customer is free to have a look. Not knowing the exact status of these cases, as you already know there's never a single staff running the whole dept, therefore it can either be fellow employee's job (the supposed insider), or simply customer who walk in and raided the cases on the floor, playaz did it all the time, don't we? ii) He allows under normal circumstances but he's just pissed the fact that one by one hotwheels collectors seek to go through the cases, furthermore the 2nd playa onwards wouldn't end up getting anything anyway, so to save the trouble, the usual "takda baru" phrase. iii) He's behind the whole thing, in this case it's upon your wisdom to find out the truth by getting feedbacks from other collectors (one of reasons we love gatherings), monitoring the restocks, or as simple engaging (NOT confronting) the staff themselves, be friendly and just enquire them what they can let you know about hunts in their store and all. A straight assumption by merely observing staff's body language wouldn't do the justice.

You may want to check Malay translation with us. We wouldn't know if your translator comes out something like these.. translation "Papan hwcm yang pergi daripada nama kegilaan otot adalah baik diketahui untuk membeli nombor besar kereta-kereta garisan utama roda panas, semata-mata untuk kepala mereka kemudian." translation "Rayz memiliki batang yang panas. Boleh minta dia tunjukkan kalau anda mahu."

Musclemania shared with me this story earlier, and i know you guys reading this would have like "lol the real person that hunt reserved to would have been pissed", but me and musclemania already aware funny things going on in this store. Depending how the stars aligned that day you will score a regs or supers on pegs (meaning everything goes to pegs), or sometimes the 'insider' simply choose to put it aside without anyone asking for it, ending up just anyone who walk in that day went back with greens. To give you guys hint this is the same store i shared in one of my hunting stories previously where one dude simply walked in storeroom and passed me a Super and regs on my first ever trip there. Although that dude i know no longer in charge of hw section the system remains the same i guess. -

Few weeks to near two months is still normal provided seller sent 'em via airmail, if he shipped via surface (kapal) however expect it take very, very long time probably you won't remember getting the package anymore. However be cautious that the item might indeed reach here already but 'tak lepas'. In this case they'll only send a small slip to your postbox telling it's detained. If you accidentally thrown away the paper while going through other mails or without reading it then the package probably stay inside customs warehouse forever.

As i regularly had their whole Ramadhan month buffet before (think of satay, other fried stuff and all) and many other celebrity functions held there i can definitely tell they had done way way better than what we had, but i can see the great disadvantage here is more to do with ratio of turnout against the amount paid per head. Honestly to utilize this kind of hall at least a few hundred turnout is what caterers usually need so that our stated budget would be fair for them. The playaz who attended can count the members, though for us the turnout is pretty cool if we calculate our dinner ticket however we can get the idea we couldn't get best of both worlds, since we're not just paying for the meals. And this can actually be planned better if only we can project the turnout right. What happened was we already got the best rate based on amount of people we quoted them, but we didn't get that quite right, and had to adjust with them again, less for them (due to lower turnout) while sticking at same ticket for you guys (cause it would be unwise for us to mark up the tickets), so perhaps something had to sacrificed here and there, though i don't think 'less air cond' was part of the plan hehe. So in future we'll quote more accurate figure, they assess our budget then prepare just right amount of food but much better ones, and probably if it's necessary each maybe top up slightly more since our size is nowhere near standard functions. We'll have one perfect event! We'll take note of everything from our first experience.

The dinner is pure awesomeness getting to meet more hwcm homies, the customs, race and all! Thanks all my playaz for coming all the way to make this successful one! Ucb also need to take this chance to apologize for slight technical error particulary bit of 'heatiness' surrounding the hall hehe, this is something that should be easily rectified if only i was aware of this much earlier (and i reached there late as well) as i got direct contact with the man to instruct them, but by the time event started only the waiters remains there and us to completely mess around with the venue, and they didn't got air cond thingy right hehe. With our simple small function the big guys weren't there to assist us. Anyway, i still consider this something not cool so sorry again guys, this is our 1st try anyway.. but one thing for sure looking at the response another anniversary dinner is something we all should look forward to!

Yeah that's another route.. though some might find bit hard and halfway still. Basically to sum up what i wrote above, after Batu Tiga toll head straight and take main exit to Shah Alam (must pass Petronas), head straight somemore and turn left exactly between Quality Hotel and Dataran Shah Alam, turn left where the road splits, straight somemore, that's it. U turn somehere after you spot PKPS/Blue Wave hotel.

As for direction, the route to Wisma PKPS actually sounds more complicated on the map though it's not. I'll describe again here in my own way, just pay attention on what you should do instead of just memorizing the map. i) To those not familiar, Federal Highway from KL to Klang after Batu Tiga toll any exits basically you'll end up in Shah Alam, but the one you're looking for is the main exit to Shah Alam (pusat bandaraya). If you count one by one possible turning it's 4th after the toll. To get the idea you haven't reach the right turning yet, you should pass a Petronas on your left side first, along the highway. Once you pass that Petronas, keep on the left lane and ahead of it you will notice two junction close to each other, 1st is just a small lane (kaw. perindustrian) 2nd is the main entrance to Shah Alam, underneath the bridge, this is the one. This junction gives you one big turning going up. ii) Then all you need to do is go straight ahead (keep on right lane to avoid going back down to highway), you're already in the city of Shah Alam. Now this part a bit tricky, but you guys can spot it. Along the road on your left side you will see these landmarks one after another - SACC Mall, 'Quality' Hotel, Dataran Shah Alam (basically an open space with tv screen and all). The one you should take is the small lane right before Dataran, after Quality Hotel, assuming you want to go Alam Sentral that can be seen right behind Dataran. iii) On the small lane pass the Alam Sentral entrance, keep on the left and take left when the lane splits. Keep straight all the way.. pass the mini roundabout.. You're already here (PKPS on the right, Blue Wave hotel on the left). Just make u-turn somwhehere ahead and take open air or basement parking.
