well the time for guessing the body is already finished..... and the result is......... ** this custom will be given to wildspirit FOC... hehe... congratz!~>. u really can read my mind..haha... so back to the progress.... this is how it starts..... i uncarded my 32' ford vicky.. then a bit disappointed with the engine casting... but must remember that this casting is one of the first version that produced by hotwheels... the date on its chasis date way back to 1968.... even before i was born!~... so that will be a good excuse for explaining the level of details..... so.. i thought of an engine swap... which was originally im thinking of using the engine from pass n gasser.... which looks more realistic... but.. how to called it a rat rod without the chopping... and thats where my idea came up.... after chopping the body, i need a new chasis to make this car sits real low... well thats how they do a ratrod... the original ford vicky sits to high from the ground.... then test fit with my favorite engine casting... the BS..... now.. fitting it with rubber tyres.... white wall was chosen to make it more classic.... the scale figure shows how low the car is.... but i need to custom the axle to make sure the wheels fits... because now it need a very long axle.. which i think HW didnt produce...... then... a rat rod must not have a shiny paint job.. so then i choose flat green for this one.... but still something is missing...... then i read the winner's post.. he expecting a custom exhaust... aha... so thats gave me the idea to add some.... test fit the BS front end with custom exhaust and the chasis... this part will be painted flat gray to make it looks like a rat rod..... so this one will be complete ASAP.... only left with the minor things such as a custom axle for the wheels.... -------------------------------------- update scratch-built chasis ........................ check scratch-built xtra long wheels axle ............. check refurbished classic offset rims with white walls ............. check refurbished body .......................... check engine..................................... uncheck... last component of the rod already arrive to my workshop..... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the car has been complete and already given to WILDSPIRIT... hehe.. hope u like the car.. thanx for the 'mystery gift exchange'.. i love it.... anyway for other forumers.. here's the pix of the completed car.... ***bonus!~ how low can u go????? rat-rod ford vicky VS hot-rod ford roadster rat-rod ford vicky VS boneshaker rat-rod ford vicky VS rat-rod bonescrapper rat-rod ford vicky VS hot-rod ford T bucket.. rat-rod ford vicky VS DUB cayanne turbo.... hehe.... hope u guys enjoy the pics....... the best part is.. the wheels does roll.. like ordinary HW u buy at shops.... yay!~... so it is playable and not a static model..... here's a vid as a proof.... anyway to bro WILDSPIRIT.... congrats.... happy customizing danoneism

almost 4 months without any update... hehe.. so here's a mini update of the WIP..... basically, ive shaped up the right side with putty but still haven't sand it yet... huhu... then i equipt the hauler with a twin exhaust system... here's the pix..... the left side has been sanded one more to make sure the surface is level and smooth.... the right side was not sanded yet.. hehe..... the exhaust system was drilled through the body...... stay tuned for more update... happy customizing.. danoneism...
