  1. Good job there was no damage on the bike to pay for. New tyre New spring Lowering kit You've spent some Wonga.
  2. I did it with a Gpz 750 over 20 years ago. Pulled outside a mates house up to a steep anti camber curb. She started to go over and went past the point of no return. The only damage was my little finger trapped under the bars when I tried to save her. The embarrassment and adrenalin rush to get it picked up before I was seen helped. But I was 20/23 years younger which helped. nice to hear those RG bungs saved the day. I've got front fork, rear bobbins, bar ends, engine cover and frame bungs from R&G. Now you've tested them I don't need to
  3. I will always meet up with you m8 Aw thanks Dave
  4. That was a long test ride . Was that solo or with a co pilot ? Does this mean your not lowering it now with the 50 profile or is this with the lowering kit ?
  5. Unless your financially sorted. The work pays for everything else and has to come first
  6. [quote="Davehutch"][quote="smilinjack"] That old you describes me this year, I can't get out in the week because of my work commitments. I get bored going out on my own. I just hope me and mrs can get out on a Sunday for a couple of hours if the weather is ok. I've even thought about selling up recently just trying to snap out of it. I have a lot of money just sat depreciating in the garage.

    Good topic...

I like his optimism not if but when you come off.
  15. that's not far from where were going, flying to Dalaman airport and stopping at Hisaronu near Fethiye and Olu Deniz. make sure you go on the river boat trip to the mudbath and to see the Loggerhead turtles. Also if you can get there Fethiye market on a Tuesday is good as well where are you going? We're going to olu dinez first time to Turkey. Going B&B in Hotel as we like to go for a stroll at night and pick a nice restaurant.
  16. Both sound choices, although I think you know which I'd steer you towards but take some advice and try a V twin Aprilia Tuono. Gen 2 bikes are on par or slightly cheaper than a Speedy and are awesome performers. Think I'd go British or Jap for reliability.
  17. Me and She that should be obeyed are going to Turkey for the 1st time in September
  18. I wouldn't know Dave never done it. It does look pretty universal, looking at that I don't think your shock will be much different to that. I thought a spring compressor came into it somewhere but is that for the front forks .
  19. Nice to have the old one back this morning Changes are not good when your old (and thick).
  20. Rip This years casualties seem to be quite high 4 deaths around here (on the same Saturday) only a few weeks ago 3 bikers in 1 accident. It does make you start to think about packing it all in.
  21. Hi Stue Yep rears 175/55/r15 75t The fronts 155/60/r15 74t There doesn't seem to be a lot of choice the originals Are Bridgestone. Just wondered if you've any knowledge of these German tyres ? A = I've never heard of them B= Ive never used all season or all weather tyres all year round. Just wondered if they'd be a safer all year compromise for her. Cheers Jim.
  22. Going to put new tyres on my wife's Smart Car 1.0 Turbo 84hp. (In Sept) Vredestein Quatrac3 All Season tyres. (German made) Are a compromise between standard and Winter tyres has anyone any experience of these. She only does short journeys but we live quite high up and we don't get salted anymore so thinking of these without the expense of a second set of wheels with winter tyres. Any info on these Stue ? Cheers Jim.
