  1. Nut was done up tight, Spindle moved forward, adjuster bolt that pushes it out bent. Dealer blamed me. I blamed dealer. Within 6 months I knew to another, and a magazine had it happen on a road test. I was told by someone in the trade that it was a design fault and certain bikes were getting parts exchanged. (although i've never seen it documented) I just thought it funny a demo bike didnt make it to the end of a demo ride... Rofl fair enough. Makes you wonder how companies let bikes go with these faults. They must know to some extent from testing that there would be issues
  2. a lot of factors could of contributed to the adjusters and alignment. Weight, if it was tightened properly in the first place, how you ride etc etc. I knew what they were like before i bought it and i don't thrash bikes, don't like red lining and seeing what they can do. The smaller ones like the 6 and 7 are shit, gutless overated things. You know the problems before you buy these bikes ( or atleast should ) Bladerunner, is your ducati the 2 valve or 4 valve? because the S2R is supposed to be a pretty reliable machine as long as services are kept on top of.
  3. not now.. bloody snow! good inch or so. Still, not stopped me riding ( YET )
  4. yeah its a bit lively on the backend even with the pirelli diablo corsa, mind you its been a bit dicey on the way to work the past couple days. Think i might have to give it a clean and get the NTV out next week!
  5. look good! whats next on the list bar risers Tbf wouldn't blame ya, comfort plays a big part
  6. Ahh can't be that bad! besides, got more bikes to ride if something goes badly wrong I love Twins, The winter run around is also a twin. Triumph Thruxton = Parallel twin Ducati Monster S2R = L-Twin and the trusty NTV650 = V-Twin Love the sound of them and the engine breaking ( probs physical engine breaking on the duc though! ) Yeah i can see it being a fragile bike but tbf i don't really thrash bikes.
  7. them tri-ovals will look good on ya naked busa!
  8. with full exhaust, and resprung forks/shock there cracking bikes for a bit of green laneing. Not full on off road and mx though!
  9. There not the smoothest of bikes to ride at slow speeds, not even smooth for a v-twin but such a hoot to ride. I will try and get some pictures at the weekend after a good wash, looking a bit white now with the salt and dirt on it!
  10. Exactly hehe, yeah i do change my bikes a lot but hey, when your young and got the money then why not Nah it will be looked after, but while we still have some nice days its being used as my work bike, the same as the zed was. The list of extra's is stupid on this though Ducati wide bars Ducati mirrors ( and bar end mirrors ) Fully termi 2-2 exhaust Open air box with free flow filter Chipped CDI & original Carbon front mud guard Carbon hugger Carbon chain guard Carbon rear fender Carbon belly pan Ducati alloy indicators Limited edition Capirossi model
  11. Sold the zed last month for something different. Loved the zed, wish i could keep it as well but after having a few electrical issues, needing a few bits and bobs etc etc, decided to get rid of it and the ace for something else. So yeah, my winter run around so i don't get the thruxton looking shitty. Wont go into details unless anyone wants to know more, but its got pretty much every carbon extra the manufacturer sold slapped on it and its a limited edition.
  12. i love the fact you bought a busa, remove everything busa minus the framework/engine and turning it into a bike Suzuki should of made only one word to describe it really... AWESOME
  13. a nice carbon fibre open clutch cover for me bike
  14. what sort are you after? can name loads but depends on what riding your doing.. is it on road or endurance as in actual green lane-ing? Had a kawasaki KLE500 with a GPZ engine that went like stink for a enduro, handled well with some modern tyres! Kawasaki KLE500 ( dirt cheap, twin, reliable ) KLR 650 DRZ 400 E DR 500 Always the BMW F650 or the aprilia 650 All comes down to what you want exactly from it, how old and how much.
  15. got back from a ride out today myself, was watching the roads getting whiter and shinier the closer to home i got
  16. Yans blade! paint is awesome on that thing. Did it have a SSSA or did it have a aprilia arm on it?
  17. grizzley custom seats. Another one that does a awesome job! And a cover on its own for my other b6
  18. that the old GL1000 ( Plain Jane ovc ) or the GL1100? me dad had a 1000 recently with full motad exhaust. Them flat 4 engines had some umpfff to them!
  19. tbf its a piss take. They changed the licences so you can no longer drive a micro car, a trike or reliant robin on a motorcycle licence! But now there bringing out this shit for people aged 16 with more money than sense... Yeah all this is gunna do is causing more pissing accidents and more F*(&$£%NG traffic!
  20. too right! Horn speakers are massive buggers, never actually heard them though so cant comment on the quality lol. Guessing they will be pretty damn clear though!
  21. ok probs just a coincidence but, World of bikes had a RC30 for ages, priced at around the £25,000 mark fully kitted out, dymags in bright orange. Recently sold!
