  1. good to hear matt my Ace was a bit agricultural lol - must say im impressed with my Suzuki gear box
  2. has the gear box improved on modern Yams?
  3. right im with you now m8 looks like a beefed up TDM which is no bad thing - Yamaha have a record for quirky - but why they have to strangle a bikes performance due to emissions laws beats me and then us the customer has to spend a packet rectifying it - Volkswagen nearly got round it though
  4. yeah sorry Alan but what exactly is a Tracer
  5. there a bargain m8 and a lot of bike for the money theres not a lot of new bikes out there that do it for me and im done with sports bikes
  6. they changed in 2010 which is the one I have (gsx fully faired) so think there the same engine just the new ones the bandit gsf half faired 80ft of torque at 3000 revs
  7. yeah not a patch on the king but a damn good workhorse fast agile and the torques addictive heard a lot of folk say that but I think its due to the power curve being more linear
  8. I reckon there more reliable than Ducati's Alan but yeah ive got a soft spot for guzzi's as well .... and Laverda's but I do like the reliability of jap bikes m8 Dave you had a go on the gsx 1250 Fa ?
  9. the new versys 1000 is supposed to be a belter but way out my price league and I don't do finance - if I aint got the cash I wont buy I quite like the guzzi norge

  12. what do you mean at my age Mike I do like those Enfield woodsman's though and that's what I like about the 1250's chad plenty Torque where you need it and not right up in the rev range
  13. not as I know of m8 Dumfries and Galloway - west coast
  14. ive used the pilot 2's for years but found they wear fast as well ian, I tried the continental conti motions there a good tyre but noisy and didn't last long on those 1250 hire bikes the fronts went egg shaped I also liked those Maxxis super max but didn't get enough miles on them to see how long they last - i'll report back on these bridgestones when I get a few more miles in but so far there excellent
  15. did you do the queens way Dave? remember doing that on my B6 years back a great road
  16. its because he sulks if he's at the back Mike pmsl m8
  17. only tried the road 2's but running bridgestone T 23's on my 1250 and there the best ive had - no need to scrub them in either - there sports touring but more sporty and seem to be lasting
  18. ive got new Bridgestones T23's on the 1250 ian - best tyres ive had m8 there sport touring but more sporty I reckon and no need to scrub them in just ride
  19. felt great chad the torques unbelievable m8 - for a big bike you can chuck it around a bit and with the fairing you gotta watch your speed think I made the right choice - you don't see many about so got a few looks at Hartside lol
  20. originally from crescent suzuki in Verwood Dorset but I bought it from Alfs in Worthing - the big kwak dealership
