well fitted dynojet kit put carbs on to balance and could not get no3 carb slide to move on vacuum so swopped out diaphragm from my original carbs and fixed that next problem no2 carb won't balance so looks like I may have a blockage somewhere will have to strip down and clean again unfortunately my radiator has begun leaking at the joint where I had it modified so that has to come back off to get sorted so not a happy bunny, was nice to see mark and mike today when they popped in for a cuppa.

[quote="bladerunner"]I've just bought a pair of Michelin Pilot Powers 120/70 and 190/55 for £177 fitted. probably wont last as long as a pilot road but I normally get 4-4500 miles out of a rear and about 6-7000 front.[/quote aye I thought about them but I get about 3000 to 3500 out of a rear pr2 and the power is a soft compound, perhaps I should slow down

thanks m8 its comments like this that drive me on cos i have had moments over the past 2.5 years i've been on with this when i thought why am i doing this. regarding the tyres dick i will be fitting new rubber when its done these are the tyres that were on when i bought it of course i will be burning the rear up first or you could sell them to me for my brother Ian, although burning them up does sound more fun!! will see mike it would be a shame to wreck the rear as its got a lot of life in it,the fronts ok too. was hoping to get the motor running today but got a problem with my throttle cables even though i have had them lengthened and then altered again i have no freeplay so need to get one cable adjusted in length again .got a stage one dynojet kit to fit but want to make sure the full power carbs i got will run without the kit first then i will stip them and fit kit.ordered a k and n filter last week but the company i bought online off sent me email saying they did not have one even though they did when i ordered it,so got a refund and ordered off another company i paid extra for express postage to recieve by sat, guese what no fecking delivery apparently in there smallprint you got to allow 2 days to dispatch not very fecking express that, is it.barstewards.frustrating this bike building mallarky.

went for a little blast this afternoon, headed up to hartside but decided to veer off to barny castle as the roads where a bit dodgy with shit and gravel washed onto them by yesterdays monsoons.heading back home get about ten miles from home not hanging about and come off a fast roundabout with power on, wtf the front of bike starts floating and heading over to opposite side of road i'm thinking oil or something wrong with front end pulls up and got my first ever puncture on the back tyre, mind it was on its last legs. glad it did'nt happen going over the moors.so rings the misses who just got in from work and she brings my van and son to get the bike home. guese i have some brownie points to earn now.
