  7. Fits fine mate - they have all different sizes so as long as you know what a big head you are you shouldn't go far wrong!
  8. just a shame that the wrong person lost their life as a result of his stupidity.
  9. Hi Andy, welcome to the forum , see you out and about sometime - but maybe not in chile!!
  10. sounds like a plan mate - have to wait till the weather's a bit fairer though (gently flaps fairy wings )
  11. I bought my new helmet from them - an o'neall honolulu, usually retails for £200 but from ghostbikes - £39.00 with free delivery and came two days later! I certainly rate them quite highly

    Hello all

herro!! welcome to the forum from another newbie
  13. just read my way through this thread - your bike's going to look awesome when it's finished mate
  14. right colours for a hornet and everything nice looking bike
  15. Yeah - I thought I might get some "tomato" plants on the go!!! I did just put it up for a laugh, but when it's on the ambient light level is brilliant (pardon the pun ) so I'm leaving it up for now
  16. Whiffy rang me today from work - "they're getting rid of some lamps at work, would you like one for the garage?" - me "what sort of lamps?" - lynn(whiffy) "I don't know - lamps!, like table lamps or something" - me "yeah why not, could always use some more light - thanks love" Went to pick up said lamp and Lynns workmate got it out of his car "Jesus H Christ!!!!!! I thought she said it was like a table lamp!!" rob(lynns workmate) "nah they're the old factory light units - 350watt bulbs but they take a minute or so to warm up" the reflector is so big you could use it as a baby bath!! - I just put it up for a laugh - definitely brightens up the garage!!!
  17. certainly is a very pretty lady!! - there's nowt like being a bit different eh?
  18. I've got the supermaxx sports tyres on mine and I think they're bloody excellent! never had any trouble with them wet or dry - though I do ride a bit gentler in the wet anyway!! just coming up for a rear replacement at 3500 miles but the front doesn't even look half way down yet - the rear might last a bit longer if I didn't keep twisting the right grip so hard!!! forgot to say that the touring version's supposed to last much longer, I recently had some fitted to a friends rf900 and he's been riding through the winter on them and says they're good - and he rides pretty hard!!
  19. Stratford's a good one for me too - mine was off the road for a couple of months while I stripped and checked over the top end, but she's all back up to snuff now and I've been out a few times but it ain't half cold mum!!
  20. thanks all I was very impressed when I first went to see her, she's been very well looked after - and I intend to keep up the good work!!
  21. A belated Hi from me too hope to see you around
  22. Hi from another newbie too
  23. Here are some of my past (and present) toys. that's me on the right and in the foreground you can just make out my cx500c!! This was my "personalised" xj900 diversion which I had until 2008 and this is my current baby - once my dream bike and now a reality!! a 1993 ZZR1100D1 don't think I'll ever get tired of it!! I also had a kmx125 learner bike, a 1982 xj650, a 1989 fz750 genesis, and for a short while a Harley 883 sportster.
  24. that is a project recquiring some serious commitment!!! but definitely worth doing for the prestige.
  25. Many thanks to all for the warm welcome looking forward to seeing some of you out and about sometime, although I've lived here since 2005 I only really got started on the social biking scene in the last year or so, before that I was billy no mates and rode on my own mostly - I know some of the local runs like Bassets Pole, Long Itch Diner and Watermans but would appreciate it if anyone could let me know of other popular weekly meets too so I've got a bit more choice of venues
