ME??? I SAY WEAR WHAT YOU WANT I'd never take notice of what others though. (age does that for you) Safety is the key--Money is a factor too.. If I had an 'OFF' I wouldn't mind what colour I was dressed in,as long as it saved my skin..

  8. Back in the '60s-70s, I had a spinning visor which would swivel up out of the way when dry,and stopped turning. It worked really well, but went out of production, for safety reasons I think.. Like I said, it worked well, But.. hell of a noisy.
  9. I'll second that---Real Flu, is a potential killer. It laid me low for days,( the worst one I caught was the "MAO fLU" ) thought I were gonna die.. Actually the way I felt--- wouldn't have cared. . A real Bar-steward.

  13. There was a time, many-many years ago. I had no choice, as it was the only transport available for me;--taking into account that in those days, money was really tight,(apprentice wages), and riding-gear was whatever you could find to be watertight. helmets weren't even compulsory, when I 1st started riding. So Yeah I've always found it a p.i.t.a. Even these days, with modern high tec kit, I hate dressing-up. (always take lightweight water-proofs tho'.) Now.. at this age, I have no intentions of going out in bad weather,I'm lucky enough to use the bike for pleasure only. Fair play to those ardent riders---to each his own eh ?.
