  1. Talking about Ducati's, a guy on another forum just posted up the latest pic's of his...
  2. I owned a Harley. I broke it, LOTS! Never owned a Ducati, the last one i rode I broke 15 minutes into the test ride. Took it back with bent chain adjusters and the back wheel out of line. I had a Honda. I snapped the cam shaft clean in half when it seized under one of the carriers. ...and a CJ, but that dropped a valve. Had about 8 or 9 brands. I ride the bike's I do, because they are just about "Tony Proof"...
  3. I might look at some spacers that fit under the rear shocks next, partly because the 14's aren't very quick to turn, partly to give more ground clearance, But especially because a lot of the owners club dislike them for making the bike "unstable", probably what I'd call sporty or twitchy.
  4. Yeah, won't replace my Busa either ! Cheap toy, big, new"ish" 2008, few extra's, go's quite well, pipe & power commander, I think it owe's me about £1,640 so far.
  5. Going to make some new bracket to mount it lower, and will double check to speedo against my GPS, but everything I wanted is now working. There's still oil temp and air temp senders to play with sometime.
  6. Not too bad so far, found permanent live / ignition live and earth. Indicators / main beam / oil light / back lights were easy. Plugged rev counter into original feed, seems OK, Fuel guage seems OK, Adjusted shift light and pre-shift light settings, set clock and date. Put the speedo pick up supplied on for now, doesnt use a magnet, just counts "changes" so should work with either disc bolts or spokes in disc ( 8-of) I'd like to use the original feed but thats something i'll look into in the future.
  7. I'd forgotten about those pic's. A Mate (Nigel) here in Brisbane and on the ASF forum did those.
  8. White faced, 10K rev, blue backlight, KOSO. Ordered from the UK. Gift from my Mrs.....
  9. This just turned up for the 1400......
  10. Anodised bolt-on's = cheap plated jewlery, Top box = Caravan, Sticky tyres = Sprinters running spiked shoe's, Nitrous Oxide = A big line of Columbian Marching Powder !
  11. Well done Dave. I understand why your doing it. You might as well core the one on the bike as they are non-visible and one's the same as the next. If your not 100% happy then, another option is to remove the can, open it up, gut the insides, and get it re-welded shut as there's a limit to what you can acheive with a drill. I wouldnt worry about it effecting the bike. Having a long system, a Cat, and a EXUP type valve they arent sensitive to end can's. I went from stock to open can's with no re-mapping and know to several others who have.
  12. Never mind, Bank Holiday on Monday, Queens Birthday Long weekend... What ? Not in the UK ? Shame on you....
  13. Its not a drama having the steering wheel on the wrong side. I've done it a few times. When you want to overtake, just start to pull out, and watch the expression on the passengers face and you'll know if its safe to go or not....
  14. Another "Welcome Jim"... from Australia. LOT'S of Harley's/Cruisers out here in AU, but not on the forums or groups im with.
  15. We were looking up tyres last night, just the normal "what if" type timewaster. I wonder if I can get knobblies that are legal and speed rated for the Bandit 1200 ? Probably wont be needing "ice" tyres out here though !
