  1. I would probably have done what the first biker did that is brake hard and try to stop before going past the copper. This is because the copper would have claimed that you are not in proper control of the vehicle. But seeing this I now know it would be best to take a longer braking distance if it means going 10-20 yards past the copper to stop. I can't honestly blame the second rider because as the 1st rider came to a sudden stop, if it was not police but say a child running across and the verge was clear he'd have had the option to swerve either side of the 1st rider. But it being the police he forced himself to come to a complete stop thus running out of runway. But what do I know, two weeks ago I ended up in a bog

  5. nice. caught some easy slow miles around lancashire and felt better for it. Back to rain againg for the next few days

  8. I am actually fed up now. We've had either driving rain or howling winds for the past 4 days and as such I have been gorging my self. Even the cat thinks I am the go-to guy. I'll have a run out sometime later even if its just for an hour

  11. true...true. have you sorted it ? see my neighbours fence is on the move , suppose he will be knocking my door soon , after a couple of runs to hardware store chasing brackets and anchor bolts its all sorted now { touch wood as its still howling outside} and in time too as the heavens opened shortly thereafter
  12. my lean to has been dislodged by strong winds. I was hoping to spend tomorrow in bed stuffing myself with remnants of the last couple of days but it seems like I will be running about after brackets
  13. 2o minutes. but as it was tann hill (nearly 2000 metres above sea level) i got really cold and could hardly move when the landlord came to pull me out with his landrover. strange how much the elements sap your strength.
