  1. Ok, D, you are right Owen, you are right too! There are few kid shows I let my son watch and I have restricted the kinds of movies he can watch too.
  2. I have a link for Sy Rogers "Clear Your History Have you ever felt like you were being held down by your past? Maybe something happened years ago but you can't seem to get over it. In this series, Pastor Mark Crow teaches us how to clear our history and get ready for the good things that God is bringing into our lives" If anyone wants the link, please pm me. Or maybe if one of the moderators gives me permission, they can let me post the link?
  3. Christi, My friends were watching saw once and I watched it with them. It really bothered me. Not the movie per se, but the fact that a human being could even think that way to write the script I totally thought the same thing. How depraved minds can be, is beyond belief. The Bible says that the heart is so wicked that no one can know how wicked it can be. D, man, I grew up with all those shows, don't think I could watch another one I really love the all the science and history channels, lots of good series shows and fascinating stuff. I've been trying to stay away from anything murderous and overtly sexual. As far as day time tv goes like all those judge 'whoever' shows, and dramas, I don't watch any of them anymore. I don't even watch Dr. phil or oprah anymore. Too much meanness and negativity. I remember the first time I ever watched a "bad movie" was robo cop (it had just come out and I was in middle school), I felt sick inside for the rest of the day and my day was ruined. It's not like I hadn't snuck to watch dragon slayer when I was a kid, that just wasn't the same as robo cop. I do watch war movies, mostly only ones I haven't seen.
  4. It was profound. I was like "Wow"!! God can use anyone!! I'm glad that God is showing Paul to me in a new light.
  5. I pray too, not all the time though. I do pray when I see an accident and sometimes when I hear a siren that I know is an ambulance.
  6. God showed me last night that Paul was like the radical muslims and how God used Paul and his ex-extremism.
  7. I'm glad it helped you too Sister Thank you friends for helping us with this
  8. Thank you Delightful! Yeah, the Holy Spirit has been convicting me of watching things that make me angry. He is also going through my aunt to do it too. So, I don't watch the news much anymore and I don't listen to angry music anymore. It has helped tons! I don't get those scenarios nearly as much as I used to either. What are the Boundaries books about?
  9. I can just imagine D as Pebbles! Yeah, I loved the smurfs too!
  10. I agree with Deb! Love you too Linda!
  11. I grew up with Flintstones too!! My fav. was Bam Bam
  12. Hey Linda and Linda's grandsons!! Boys don't do this to eachother or this or this to your grandmama Linda. Have a FUN Day boys!!
  13. I don't know why men do those kinds of things. My husband wanted to buy an OLD German VolksWagen Bug and fix it up, when we were in Germany... It was some fad at the hangar at the time. The fads never seized, the next one I remember he actually did do was buy a gas powered RC car, which, the other soldiers bought too... I enjoy the memories now, but it was stressful at the time. I don't think I will ever enjoy the memories of his time spent with computer games.
  14. It's tough isn't it!? Sometimes when I think about it I will thank God that my husband despises his gaming and W.O.W. and that it makes him sick to think about it!! But, I try not to mention it anymore and I don't let it stop me from my God given ministry of being a wife. I used to refuse to do anything for him because of his gaming. I would hold it over his head for ANYTHING he would accuse me of. It's all part of this forgiveness thing that God has got me doing. My husband is a lot less argumentative now and doesn't pick fights nearly as much anymore, even more willing to get off the computer!
  15. YAY!!! Happy Birthday Linda I really needed to re-read your post too. I didn't realize that I need to let go of my husband's gaming (which I am so jealous of...). God has been working on me with a lot of stuff all at the same time and I can see that He has progressed me and I am ready to add another challenge! AMEN
