...well if you do enough customs you'll see all the flaws in the casting once you remove the paint ....so usually if too bad, i'll sandpaper it smoother...

...no the culprit is not human-error...but the molding resin i guess you can call that. Know that plastercine looking thingy that cups together, then metal is injected into the mold...so the walls on the mold are not flat see, but then again at any one time I guess Mattel would've produce say 3-5 molds of every single casting...recycle until it wears off. How to explain why Talladega so new casting yet 'body' so bad...that one think bit too technical for me to explain liao .....

...not really the paint, it's actually the casting mold itself ...think this one DeadlyRush can answer. Also that specktraflame paint is light, direct over unpainted body. If you compare to classic cars, same process except HW chromalised the cars before spectraflaming the Classics series cars. On the reg pulak, cos the paint is think so it looks even out...*this is all in layman terms in case no one understandO* **On another note Why pic on Sneaks show chrome, from actual blackened? I guess plenty of 'conspiracy theories'..... a) mattel skimping on cost so forget the chrome process for the rims b) mattel did have this clause in every of its products "Colors and Look may vary" c) some communication broke down at the plant (which happened quite often for the last 2 years)
