Hello everybody, 2010 is my 5th year of Hot Wheels collecting. At the time of writing, I should have around 600-700 pieces of Hot Wheels. Quite a slow count if you ask me 'cos in between these 5 years, there was a time when I had my attention shifted away from Hot Wheels (during the 2006-2008 Collecting Years). However, after receiving more exposure from online resources, my collecting has gained momentum and the way I choose my collection has transcended as well. In this thread, I will only showcase the castings which I deem near-complete enough as most of my casting models are too dispersed and vast to have a sizable number of the same casting... This will not be a thread that I will constantly update since it takes time, patience, and money of course to try and complete as much as possible a particular casting... And for the record, I don't look into wheels/windshield/chassis/minor graphics variations... Well, what better way to start off this thread than to showcase the casting that ignited my vision... the one and only 1970 Plymouth Superbird, simply like nothing else (although the name's a bit comical)! Wow! This thread has been pushed all the way to Page 2. Oh well, I haven't posted anything for the past 4-5 weeks anyway... I left early in the morning for a few interviews, hoping to secure some internship for the next 12-weeks. After that, changed to some casual clothes and went hunting at Bugis and Orchard Road. My first 10-Pack. The Torino was hard to resist and I have been aiming for it anyway. 1/4-Mile Coupe has a poorly installed multi-exhausts; they take up the ground clearance and it can't roll... The rear axle is too soft. There is a risk of the wheels getting stuck into the wheel wells so I can't play (roll) too much... Low riders! Recolours to complete the variations... I collect pick-ups too... the Speed Machines; the Veyron has a nicely installed grill. Thank goodness
