What southtexas states is that there is a painted metal base version other than the common unpainted metal version. Maybe the painted base was mistaken for plastic? And for the base, i'm not so sure whether it is made of plastic or metal, but wikipedia stated that its gray plastic base. hmm..so far no one has the actual picture yet.. hopefully will show some good quality picture in the near future ya.. But hey.. i just realized something.. this is not to encourage people to stop collecting but i just found out that not every collector actually can collect a full set of any car released by hot wheels eh.. You see.. mainline is somehow 'difficult' to own already.. not to mentioned the exclusives like toy r us, kmart, wal-mart, and also the conventions.. farewell, and so on.. wow.. really fainted if ones is to collect just one specific cars.. for example, so far i've seen the most hardcore collector around here is yush..WOW!!
