  1. It's my form of humour to profile questions on forums and stuff like Facebook as I don't publicise to much personal detail which includes my home town, I've now amended it to ease confusion ;-)
  2. That's a bit naughty of them, as far as I'm aware including bikes and cars the 1st service which is normally an oil and filter change and a check over is either subsidised or sometimes free. I'm open to correction though.
  3. I did and they only charged me for the oil and filter £40 thats it till 4,000 miles Mine was completely free yes but I didnt even buy the bike from them doesn't matter mate as the manufacturer picks up the labour charge for 1st service and as they're a Suzuki dealer anyway they wont lose out. It's normal to have to pay for parts but not labour, just that I was lucky and had in included in the deal. Alls good now then for a bit more throttle twisting

  5. Actually I had already thought of that but thought I'd play on the idea as it would bring on some witty replies.

  7. I would think after your ruck sack , it will be no probs Haha yeah I forgot about that,it's up in the attic.. probably get a couple of pairs in that.
  8. Very good of you Stu I may take you up on that blended in with a ride out, Just got to work out on carrying the tyres on the Z
  9. Do them yourself its a 15 minute job! I may be tempted with an older set of wheels but no way with my nice new shiny ones as sods law says I'll scratch them lol
  10. Sorry mate, were in Gosport for the weekend.
  11. Had to have a new tyre on the car today and went to a little back street garage, whilst I was there I asked if he was able to do bike tyres and he said yeah as long as I bring the loose wheel in and would charge a fiver. Not sure if there's a big difference between car and bike tyre fitting or balancing so I may give him a go as the Z now needs new tyres
  12. Had the same thing recently with house insurance. I rang them up saying im not happy with the renewal quote and they said thats the best we can do. So i go online and do a quote as a new customer and got it £63 cheaper I then called them back saying when my policy ends i wont be renewing as your too expensive, I then get Oh were sorry to here that can we ask who your going with and at what price so I told them and the reply I got was its because of the online discount they give to new customers to which they are unable to give to existing ones strange world insurance
  13. I have the bedroom window open all year , even with the heating on That's because Mel say's you smell
  14. All sorted, the daughters boyfriend is gonna drop us and pick us up
  15. Myself and the other half will be there but not sure on stopping over as its only half hour drive away and at nearly £53 for the night a bit pricey. Shame it wasn't Birmingham as its only £35 lol
  16. Pretty much what has already been said, the dealer said to me when I got the Z all of the above but you'll do more damage to it by letting it labour too long in any one gear just keep taking up and down the box.
  17. Please we are not hero's,well I'm speaking for myself here. I'm not knocking the appreciation that has been shown to us but me personally I did what I did from instinct and a little from a first aid course I did many years ago, like don't move them or let themselves move, if they are drifting in and out of conciousness just keep talking that type of thing and just reassuring them whilst trying to assess the injury's. As far as Im concerned I played a small part, an important part yes as we were first on the scene but the real hero's In my eyes are the paramedics who tried to keep him alive. Also not forgetting the off duty nurse and air ambulance off duty paramedic that just happened to ride past on his bike. Thankyou again and I really do appreciate it
  18. I spoke to the police earlier and he said John has been discharged this morning but has a broken collar bone and 2 he thinks broken vertebre.
