Good write up and I like the graphite grey on the frame.

I've worn glasses since the age of 8. I'm now 43 and have never had an issue wearing them whilst riding or getting them on and off when I have my helmet on. I think it's something you just get used too. I have 3 pairs. 1 of which are prescription sunglasses and wear any that take my fancy on the day. I wouldn't worry too much about them unless you have an open face helmet or have your visor open all the time.

I've used both and prefer iPhone. But each to their own as Chad said. But then maybe I'm just a fan boy with too much money.

Roof box for sale £40 Good condition, 2 key locks. I have had this quite a few years and used lots of times and still remains waterproof inside. 4 mounting brackets included. I was gonna look at RAC or AA for Euro breakdown cover separately for the France trip but they offered a good price for the year. I wasn't interested in the other covers but it's really worked out that I've had them thrown in. It was £199 for the lot and while I was online I removed the helmet and leather cover which was £48. By taking this off the quote then jumped to £299 Like I said earlier by taking all 4 extra's they discounted it by £147.

I've been insured with Bikesure for the past couple of years as these have been the best for me. My insurance is due soon so I did the usual quotes, Carole Nash was out the ball park as usual with a ridiculous quote of £315 fully comp. Anyway the best were as usual Bikesure and surprisingly Bennetts. Now for me Bennetts are normally the same as Carole Nash and come back with a real stupid price but this time they quoted £199 for the whole package. Full European RAC cover, helmet and leather cover, personal accident cover and Legal expense. Now I didn't want any of it except the breakdown cover BUT the quote was cheaper WITH all the extra's than without yeah work that one out. It worked out at a £147 discount when all four items are added. Needless to say I accepted it. I also went through Topcash back website which Bennetts give £26 back after 90 days . I'm never happy when paying insurance but I'm mildly satisfied this time

I always tax online, have done for years and if there is a lapse before getting the disc then I have the email from DVLA on my phone to prove it was ordered in due time and am awaiting delivery. Got told that by DVLA. Never had to use it though.

Maybe a dodgy unit. I've had my optimate for 12 years. Used it to charge bike batteries and a couple of car ones too.

test rode with the bag on today and can report its very solid and stable even at triple figures. Very happy with it and would recommend.

I was after a smallish tank bag for my trip to france and after doing some homework I decided on the Givi xs307. It's 15L and has the ability to expand a little. It has the tank lock system so the bag doesn't actually sit on your tank but on a locking ring bolted to your fuel cap. So no worries of scratching your tank or having to use matting underneath. I've not test rode with it yet but it seems quite sturdy. Also in the pics below you'll see that the locking mechanism on the bag is movable by unscrewing it and readjusting to the pre drilled holes so you can have the bag further forward or backwards to suit your needs. I moved it back a little to make it easier to get to the ignition. Not the best looking thing and it does look a little odd just sitting on top of the tank but at the end of the day you don't buy luggage for the looks but for practicality, Well I don't anyway It also has an extra clear map/tablet cover. Personally wouldn't really fancy riding with my iPad in there unless I suppose you have GPS on it and use it as a huge screen sat nav Oh and just to add the locking ring that bolts to your bike doesn't come as standard with the bag as its bike/manufacturer specific. But I bought it as a package from the cheapest place i could find for £95 which was http://www.bs-motoparts.com/en/ based in Germany. I ordered this Friday afternoon and was delivered Wednesday morning. Free delivery to the UK for orders over £69.
