  1. I'd be interested Dave, although I suspect family commitments will knacker it.
  2. Saturday and Sunday this week, even got to miss church
  3. Bet you can't guess what I'm doing Saturday.......
  4. If it was " l'm an egotistic dick with no personality" it would be a cakewalk for him.
  5. On the coach for Wemberly. Go Jaguars, hut hut. Sorry, must take a tablet.
  6. Strange days. Having a lie in, and going to Wembley later to see Cowboys v Jaguars with my son, who's treating me. Nice morning for a bike ride mind
  7. Not to mention sunshine, clear roads, warm sea and whisky at 7 Euro a bottle.
  8. Well, how about you get a passport and we go to Valencia. My flat is less than 100 miles from Barca, Aragon and Tormo. Take your pick
  9. Keep saying I'll go to Valencia but haven't managed it yet
  10. I won't be,no. Not really my cup tea at all TBH.
  11. Thought you might have posted the 1100 Tuono Chad. I've posted a link as the photo is actually massive, very detailed if you fancy a zoom http://i2.wp.com/www.asphaltandrubber.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/aprilia-tuono-v4-1100.jpg
  12. Certainly are. Bit of a problem with the luggage racks but I've still got the stock setup so no real problem.
  13. And for my money you can't beat the sound of a V4........
  14. Looking at that list the ZZR is insurance group 17 remember. VFR absolutely fabulous all rounder but falls short of perfect by maybe 10-15 bhp. Still tops 150mph mind. Good two up according to my wife-her favourite of my bikes in fact, ridden it to Spain and back without issues. Sprint GT I suspect would be like a VFR with proper power. Rode an old type V Strom and really liked it. Massive comfy seat and good motor & box, although not without potential problems. FZ8-never been a fan of Yams so don't know too much about them. I still can't get over all those buzzy two stroke LCs from years ago.
  15. Got a Vtec so l can help you there, info for sure, maybe meet up sometime for a quick spin. Needs the Chadda mod doing for better feel. I really like the Sprint, in fact considered one but would mean selling my Speedy. That triple is just sublime. What about the Tiger? Sort of bit of both
  16. Rode one before I bought my ZZR1200. Creamy smooth motor, clunky gearbox, bit too long a reach to the bars for my taste. Linked brakes not for everyone, although I never have a problem with my VFR. Overall, I concluded the Kawasaki held most of the cards. Deffo more power, comfier, better economy and lights. Handling prob got the edge too. Against it were inferior brakes, possibly finish (my ZZR has held up pretty well over 11 years though) so I went big K. Buy a 1400 and it is simply not a contest, as all the above holds true only more so.
  17. The 1200 is no slouch and the 1400 knocks it into a cocked hat. Question is, are you really ever going to use that level of performance? Not especially good looking either IMHO.
  18. ours came as part of a BT package matt, also run Norton as well Holy cow, how long does it take to boot? Not many more resource hungry programs than Norton.
  19. These motors are too big to kill. Lots of ZZRs well past 100k, even 150k. Mine's done 70k and doesn't feel any different in performance terms. Did read about a dispatcher whose VFR has done 800k
  20. It occurred to me today that I've kept that Speedy pretty good for a year and a half, but I've not done 2,000 miles on it in that time. Thinking of setting it up next year to do one or two longer trips on, and accept knocking the shine off it a bit.
  21. 6 months Stan. You can pay monthly for a premium price. Bit like a TV licence or council tax.
  22. Right, well, we did it. Amazingly, almost at the exact moment I put my jacket on, having taxed the bike, the sun vanished. Clouded up, even had a few spots of rain initially, but we had a nice afternoon out and the wife seemed OK on the Triumph. Hoping to persuade her to go to the Picos on it next year...early days yet. Also, stopped for coffee and a cake at Huntley Green in Cromford. Very nice, but most importantly their breakfast sounds PDG. Keep an eye out for a fine Sunday morning Dave because I aim to test drive it
