  1. Been thinking of putting my Speed Triple up for sale. It's a 2010 SE in red and white, older model with round headlamps. 4k miles, vgc, brand new front and pretty new rear tyre. I reckon on it being worth £5,500 or offers. What do you lot think?
  2. Right, taxed. Gotta love this online malarkey Distinctly possible I'll be on for next Sunday Dave, I normally only work extra on Saturdays.
  3. Just back from the test cente, VFR breezed the MOT as expected. I'd forgotten what a nice little thing it is to ride. Might back tax it to April 1st so I can go out Sunday morning if it's nice. Sadly, tomorrow will be sunny but as ever, work calls
  4. Unfortunately l will be driving home from Spain that weekend just an outside chance l could do Sunday.
  5. Nice one. close by the Dragon's Back
  6. You won't fully appreciate a ZZR until you've had it five years in my view. The better you get to know them, the more capable you realise they are.
  7. Having coffee on the seafront in Vinaros. About 21 deg, blue sky. God bless Ryanair
  8. What can I say? My counterpart was full, no room for another line just goes with owning a vehicle mate. Even my sister in law's been done, and she holds up funeral processions.
  9. Is that like, some kind of rhyming slang
  10. Cor, posted twice. Vengeful Dob him in mate, these people need weeding out
  11. Doubtful mate. I expect it's previous generation stock they want rid of. Perfect for cheapskates like me
  12. Frankly mate serves him right. How can you possibly buy a bike based on the owner's photos? As if we all don't know by now what Ebay is like. Rant aside, all the best with the new bike mate. After a couple or three decent length trips I think you'll be very happy with the change. ZZRs are absolute stonkers, and the 14 is for sure the king of the hill. Envious.
  13. Ordered a pair of Road Attacks. I know Contis from previous use, and despite the probable superior wet grip and maybe wear of the Metzeler, reading the tests suggests they may be a bit slow steering. Last thing I need on my barge and dry grip on the Contis is good. Will get me to and from Spain and hopefully a few trips in between OK. £155 delivered.
  14. Interesting comments. I can get a set of Storms for the same price as the Contis. Not had an Avon since the Roadrunner
  15. Not short of tread actually Dave, but the front is like a threepenny bit down the sides. I can reuse the Maxxis for work on my VFR-will mainly be motorway miles. I just want plenty of life in the tyres l take to Spain so l can hopefully do a trip or two from the flat and still have enough tread to get home.
  16. Interestingly, been looking through my service records and the Road Attacks last about 50% longer than Maxxis, and l can buy a pair for about £10 more. I also had Sport Attacks but didn't like them as much. Might go back to Conti.
  17. Got Maxxis on it now Dick, and they're fine TBH. Just thought at similar money I can get big name tyres and see what I think.
  18. Thing is, we've had a bit of a change of plan, insofar as I'm probably going to take my ZZR1200 to Spain in May. It will need at least a front which has gone a bit out of shape. Been looking at the pairs offers at M & P and there are a couple which look quite interesting. Bear in mind that cost matters to me, so forget expensive Michelin, and the bulk of the mileage will end up as being sunny Spanish trips during my next few holidays. So... Mezeler Z6 or Continental Road Attack 2 are the two I have it down to. I've had Road Attacks before and liked them, no experience at all of Metzeler except the Sportec M3 on my Speedy. Any opinions gang?
  19. Enter "petrol stations near Scotland" in Google Maps
  20. You aren't planning fuel stops to that degree shirley? Just tap on the satnav when you get past half empty. One thing I love about my ZZR-25 litre tank and 50+ mpg = plenty of distance between fuel.
  21. Well, I'm at work again so doesn't matter too much to me I'm afraid. Didn't quite make it home in time today to make the best of a lovely afternoon.
  22. They are real slow burners I think. Takes a year or two to really get to know their capabilities. That said, my mate is hankering after it and I don't know what to do. Not worth anything, but it would free up space and a bit of cash to look around.
