  5. thinking about buying one of these! 13 litre tank, you only live once folks! had a look round and unless you want to spend £600 on a purpose built one you dont get alot for your money. companies are normally charging £40 - £50 for a set of carbs, i could easily get my money back. of course i would do people's on here for mates rates....
  6. got the tank back today. been blasted and primered, can now see the dents in it more clearly. will be filling them at the weekend. top yoke came back too, looks much better than the last time! bought an original ace cafe token to bond to the top yoke bolt, looks nice i think. and the right hand caliper mount came back too sent my fork legs away to lee for polishing ,so once they come back can rebuild the front end.
  7. might be worth getting them to take a look at the clutch/fit a new one as all thats gotta come off anyway and the oil ha probably contaminated the clutch
  8. lol ive heard boiling carbs in lemon juice is good just need 5 litres of the stuff!
  9. yeah its a good idea dick but the cost of the machine to fit big carbs in would be like £300 and i didnt realise how much the solution is lol. might be sending it out yet.

  20. for the hassle of it you might as well just get yourself a proper bike trailer. more chance of it being seen as well especially at night!
  21. went to work today to weld the loop in the back of my frame, found some tubing to slot into the loop, then pushed it into the back of the frame. left a gap for the weld to go. looks pretty good im happy with the way it came out got it home and tried the seat unit on, plenty of space to mount a batery tray. what do we think of these braces for the frame, made them before i buggered my finger, was going to tack them in place but am unsure about them now?
