  1. jolly good!! I'm in the middle of trying to suss this flat spot and surging out that the 660's are known for ( think its more down to yamaha's FI being a bit ropey!! )
  2. Was it the battery fault or the charging system fault that cause it to go pop? Could be up for a claim from one of them and get some money to fix the paint. I personally wouldn't throw the bike back to them over it but i would at least try and get them or the battery manufacturer to pay for the damage caused ( if it was the batteries fault )
  3. this time round paint it brown!!
  4. On the bright side, it was pink and it wasn't a bigger powerful bike.
  5. Bought for my old bike before it was nicked, so brand new in box never been used, only opened to make sure they are ok! £15 delivered, RRP £30 ish
  6. leather cleaner, leather cleaning wipes, a good leather restorer and a leather waterproofer! What i do is clean the jacket with leather wipes when it gets a bit dusty/dirty then use a leather restorer over the top to bring it back to looking new. I do sometimes re-blacken the jacket cause it goes a tad green in places were i catch it on the door frame/wall
  7. crimp them and put a tiny blob of solder just to keep them from coming
  8. I had one before, and chad, you will easily get ya knee down! A few things for him to keep a eye out * The bars are rubber mounted and tend to move/misalign often! so keep checking on them * The filler cap is a bastard and tend to get stuck on ( if its the original cap! ) * The side panels pop on without screws so you tend to loose them ( mine flew off somewhere between here and Birmingham, god knows where it ended up! ) They handle surprisingly well for what they are. PS use the back pegs to get ya knee down I got mine for £200 i think, anyway this is what there like in black
  9. yup, good for 100mph!! not sure what FI is like on the derbi, but on the MT-03 is a bit meh. Why on earth i didn't buy one when they came out in 2006 ( iirc ) is beyond me. I gotta see one of these derbi's in the flesh they look like a good comination of scrabler/cafe racer.
  10. nowt wrong with them derbi's good fun bike! I think they use the same engine as the MT-03 ( built in italy ) and if so, are a cracking bit of kit! plenty of poke from a 660 single ( vibrate a bit but its a single after all! )
  11. would sound nice on a twin tbf! just on a big thumping popping banging single its too much ( plus don't want to give the elders around here a heart attack when i leave early in the morning!! )
  12. So as title says, two of these for sale, they are seriously loud to the point where i fitted them to my bike for exactly 20 miles. With baffles in these are stupidly loud, infact i didn't dare take the baffle out. Might be fine on a inline 4 etc but two of these on a single cylinder that pops and bangs with standard cans took the royal piss. £100 each delivered if anyone is interested in either:- A) upsetting their neighbours B) going deaf very quickly C) like extremely loud bikes Seriously though, these cans are loud, very well made and look pretty damn nice! They come with removable baffle that fits on the inlet side of the can and not the outlet side, so does require the can to be removed first. Only had these for 2 days but as said, too loud for my bike so up for sale 200mm long, massive outlet ( 3.5" ) standard 2" inlet so will fit anything with the correct link pipe. Made out of lovely carbon fibre and stainless steel.
  13. nice thunderbird sport in the top pic!
  14. its somewhere around NN6 9DG lol ( thats the postcode for the fishing lodge at the reservoir )
  15. just a little ride out to a local reservoir to scrub in some new Scorpion Trail tyres
  16. the small inline 4's are brilliant bikes, at times i wish i didn't sell my xjr400 for the pure fun factor! could piss over bigger bikes in corners
  17. I know you can get a 2-1 carb kit for them, not sure if you can get them over hear or not but there around the $500 with a new carb/2-1 manifold etc
  18. was in Warwickshire funny enough. started at like 4/5am some cracking thunder and lightning
  19. I am 6ft 4in tall , 12 stone and have to beat the birds off with a big stick ,so I think you will know who I am
  20. if it fits, its comfy and has good quality stitching/leather, then you can't go too far wrong! I'm still rocking my old leather jacket from years ago, was a prototype 'sports' jacket but it a good fit, its comfy and its very well made ( think i had it on at the southern meet? ). I've had RST textiles and they are alright for the price so can't see why the leathers would be any different
  21. Pair of Givi Maxima E50 panniers, both hold 2 full face helmets! Not had much use but need them gone. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191202605191?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 The rack is also for sale, no fitting kit for it so with the right kit, it will fit a lot of bikes!
