Should have bought a Suzuki! Electrical issues are proper pain Chad hope you get it sorted! -

SO! are you coming on the rideout to see Chad, Stan?
its a bit too far for me mate
maybe meet up for a local ride when the weather improves
yes mate maybe you could bring mark and mike up to wetlands one night
well, I'll have to go into "snail mode" for them to keep up but be good to see you Stan! -

Or get hold of a workshop manual if you need more specific info.
If it's an electronic speedo, then they have been known to play up with reg/rec issues, so sort the charging out first mate. Or if it is a dedicated track bike, then just throw the clocks away :-)
Chad, I would start with the Regulator/Rectifier. Battery, instrument bulbs, rev counter all destroyed on the kawasaki 500 by reg/rec failing and putting 19volts to the battery. -

With Pricipal bike insurance and renewal is due. The renewal was £127 fully comp protected for the Bandit, so did a compare search, MCE came out the cheapest £90 with extras - helmet & leathers and personal accident. I contacted Principal who matched it straight away......after reading your posts I think I have had a lucky escape! Thing is you don't know how good an insurance company is until you need them......cheapest may not always be best!

Bought one of these for my Bandit (Tokico Calipers)about 8 years ago and found it useless for exactly the same reasons given in the above review, Still have it in a box gathering dust.
clear aquarium tube and a "Uncle Bens" Korma glass jar (curry substituted for brake fluid) does me just fine! Great review! -
Don't think we'll need the drop off system this time Dave!

Bloody hell Ian you don't do things in half measures do you?
I've been putting off spraying my forks and swinging arm for two years.......
Be good to get it back together mate! -
@madcarper wrote:I think it needs to be over three days not two so we have a full day riding around when there and the lads travelling a long way are not trying to cram it all in together. four days would be even better especially if the weather is good.
If its the later date i can do as long as you like cos im annual leave from the 31st anyway BUT any date picked I will try to wprk something ....agree with Ian about it been a little longer especially for those travelling further! -
Either 15th-17th or 29th-30th but have to apply for two annual leave days so the sooner we get the date sorted the better! I will pop round this weekend if thats ok and have a catch up! -
Hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas and a safe and prosperous new year! -
Nice surprise when I got back from work, thanks Chad!

Thanks Chad! -
My best tool purchase is my swivel ratchet spanners
worst is some brake caliper piston pliers which were cheap and broke with first use, although the principle was good the quality wasn't, definitely buy the best you can afford and it will make jobs 10 times easier, that's my experience anyway!
