  7. well after trying to get all my bike buddies to go for a ride today and failing I decided as usual to just go myself so rode up kielder then back to Bellingham on to otterburn then rothbury then alnwick, fuel up, back to rothbury down to ponteland then south shields for an ice cream and finally back home. 220 miles and some great roads just 2 minus points no1 it was feckin freezing no2 had a proper clench moment when going up to kielder on roads I know very well powering thru a corner where the road goes under trees and going from sunlight to shade together with my tinted visor I did not see the the ridge of loose gravel/crap on the bend. back end slid away then gripped again took a few minutes to get back in the groove but still a great ride.

  10. I remember when sunderland airport was around before nissin built a factory on it, I was waterskiing on the river wear when one of the last flying Vulcans was to be a museam piece at the sunderland air museam was flying in to land there. as the runway was quite short it had to come in as slow as it possibly could, and skim the a19 to hit the runway. I remember hearing this almighty roaring looked up and the fecking thing was massive and was going so slow I don't how the feck it did not just drop out the sky. totally awesome sight and sound I will never forget.

  19. thanks for the offer dick but I want to try something other than a backpack and as I plan to carry as little as possible as we will be staying in bandb I thought a tailpack would be ideal.

  21. £30,000 must have more money than sense. saying that when I went down York on sunday to set up my nieces caravan I saw a bike towing a trailer tent f.f.s. how can that be legal.
