tbh i dont think it'd be to hard most of the engines had mechanical fuel injection , the german meschershmitts had injection plus a supercharger ,timing wise its much like an american v8

i read in MCN in Guy Martins column a few weeks back, that he was look'in for an engine outa Mosquito, a Griffin engine i think... you cant beat the noise of these engines from ww2 aircraft i worked in the aviation industry for over 10yrs as as instructor and get'in to see them up close was a real privelage...tho tbh ive bugger all interest in aircraft..gimmie 2 wheels anytime

ive managed about 6yrs outa the oe spec varta battery on the exup but as im putting it on a diet im considering one of these new type Li ion type's they only weigh 500g a massive 5 kilos lighter than oe. Anyone tried them yet?

i think its a personal choice but you'll always take better care off/ love a bike you've built yourself owning it is a far more pleasurable experience and the one thing you can virtually guarantee is that know one will ever have 1 exactly like yours....the chioice is totally yours

ive just been told about this site so here goes lol hi all im steve been into bike since i could walk , got my first proper bike when i was 6 and well i was addicted....i still am ....OH YES !!!! here's my labour ov love 4k spent and still spendin.. its an 89 fzr 1000 exup (the pics an old one from the first build up) it came to me as 7 boxes of bits, a few weeks later i had it built,mot'd& taxed . i used it for a year almost, till the voices told me to modify it so... it now runs a bigbore kit, 2 ring race pistons, flowed ported and polished head, yam race kit cams, knife edged and balanced crank , all internals have been polished etc with the 41mm kiehin flatsides and the serpent system plus too many other mods to mention.it now makes a genuine 197hp at the rear according to turbo systems dyno last month. anyway good to meet you all Steve
