  1. I likes doin' that, ------ any-one up for it.. Summert ta do innit?? go on make a start
  2. I'm delighted, but surprised, that a bloke your age is interested in retro styled bikes. Try one out, if you get the chance, especially the Thruxton 900, E.F.I. You will be surprised how lively it is. Yes you're correct about the alloy tarnishing, and the spokes,rusting... vigilance and an oily rag is the answer,--always was the old Rocker way, and is still true to this day; a major advantage these days is the construction and technology is superb i.e.(no oil leaks for instance. I guess as an authentic 'Old-Scrote' I am returning to the days of my youth, without fooling myself I'm still race track material...and I love the Cafe-Racer scene . I've never been without a bike, the one in the picture is no:23 on me list....loved 'em all (Thuxton next) Went out on a T100 Bonneville with the 2-1 arrow full system without baffle, lively little thing that deffo makes you grin! Always loved cafe racers which is why i wanted the Thruxton ( Bonneville was the only bike they had as a demo at the time ) Good on ya m8, I see another young convert perhaps you must take a ride on the Thruxton.. That'll make ya smile
  3. the fastest my wheels went on my bantam was when i took them to be re spoked LUV IT!!------Happy days eh??
  4. Reminds me of a little Honda C90 I had Donkeys years ago. Bringing it home It was doing 90mph--- in the back of the van--

  6. My grandson had his scooter nicked. police were not interested really, crime scene number, and tell your insurance, was all they would say. I think if it were me, I;d try to get those faces enlarged, recognised, and dealt with very harshly. The law is an ass--- never a truer saying..
  7. Thanks Chad'. Bonnie'-T100- 790c/c 2002 --100th anniversary model, less than 6000 mls, pampered by previous owner,(&me).. pretty little thing..never seen a rain-drop. Not every-ones cuppa, I know,-- but with the Sprint,I'm fine riding it;--a really versatile bike, quick too, but I have dodgy knees, and have trouble at junctions, etc, with me joints giving out.. I prefer,(these days), to be able to stop and get both feet flat on the deck, (ffs. don't grow old ) And---I don't do long enough journeys to need this size steed, prefering shorter 'Bimbles' .these days. I really like the Cafe-racer,scene, and got me eye on a Thruxton.. W.T.Space..
  8. SORRY ---Didn't check back on this thread...not had a pm..enquiry-- Still have the Sprint, but have now got a ---------?? Check out July Bike of the month piccie. Sprint to go shortly, so extras still up for grabs..
  9. Heartless sods ain't they Dave!!! I broke my (next to the big toe) on me right foot, years ago--running down-stairs for the 'phone---kicked an oak framed chair Kinell---wuz hoppin' around ,like a frog on a hot-plate.. Bugger never set back right, and now rubs against my big toe, always aware of the B'' THING..
  10. I am swapping-in my '09 Sprint,in 3-4 weeks time, and I will be taking off several Triumph extras to offer for sale; if any-one is interested, p.m. me and I can give you details,
  11. Funny Spat me coffee out---like, I had this mental picture
  12. Yeah---wonder why he was pulled in ??? chances are he was speeding??--- any one else would likely have been booked-- and who cares who she is, anyway--just another squeeze.
  13. Just read this thread, & took this out of the window.
  14. Ain't these the very reasons we ride,? folk..Great innit
  15. Didn't see that coming-- (no pun intended)
  16. Agreed YUUP... won't be swapping any time soon, always helpful, if we have a problem/question,---(not that often happens),-- and never too much trouble to help us with(gremlins). The call centre seems to be in India, but no prob's with understanding each other so far, and very polite.. No bad feed-back.
  17. I totally agree with Dave on this, a similar situation occurred with my grandson, and when it suited the company, they just laid him off, without even an explanation,(they gave him the crap jobs to do, as well). luckily for him he got re-placed back into collage. A leap of faith , is one thing, Chad', but a safety net is always advisable.. Believe me, being sell employed isn't an easy venture, especially in the early days.. Caution advised on this one young fella---good luck to you.
