I rode in the UK for 24 years. I've run tuned ZZR11/GSXR11/Katana 11's and 168hp Nitrous Bandit on the road in the UK. Any of them could have done with another 20-25hp at least. Not "needed", just for the entertainment ! Its more about where, when and how you use it. The CB1000R would be a good bike to move up to or as a sensible daily ride. Its just not a "muscle bike / heavy hitter" Not facts, just my view on things...

Spondon big-tube alloy frame, to take 1100 Katana bodywork. Big-bore GSXR1100/Bandit oil-cooled motor (Busa / B-King engines better but ugly) Converted to injection, with a front mounted turbo and under the tank intercooler, Late model GSXR1000/Busa/King radial front end with a matching 6" rear wheel, Alloy over + under braced arm with -1 to +5" adjusters.

Titanium exhaust. Clear perspex bracket to mount the number plate off the swingarm. Yoshi logo cut into the undertray is in red perspex and lights up as a brake and tail light. A later watercooler GSXR tank on an Oilcooled frame. Frame cut and welded to take the offset shock on the Single -sided arm. Shrouds to fit over the forks that have no visible fixings. etc etc etc..... I thought the bars looked a bit TOO wide, but sitting on it they didnt feel to bad.

Whilst in the UK (Nottingham) I arranged to meet up with a Mate. He came out on his latest GSXR (an 1100L model) that he'd just put together in the German streetfighter style. Wide bar's and a short high tail. Whilst I dont expect it to be to most folks tastes, its interesting that it does get used and isnt a show bike.

B-King is VERY different to the Bandit. Bandit makes you work, and in return it really does let you know whats going on, even well set up a B12 is low tech and lets you know it when you turn up the pace. B-King is waaaaay better but the extra power, brilliant brakes, frame and good running gear mean its easy to be getting a move on at a fair pace and super smooth before you realise all's about to go pear-shaped. Stick another 10,000 miles on it Dave, you just havent got used to it enough. -

Another pic I took just up the North Coast but a lot closer to home. Lots of pelican's around here. Biggest danger is they sit on the streetlights on the bridges, when they take a dump, its liquid, and its HUGE! I got "hit" in the Ute and couldnt see through the windscreen, so far, i have been lucky on the bike !!!
