  1. Yeah, nice and warm, but we're going into storm season. Last year I lost 3 weeks work / wages but I was lucky. Not sure how much made your news last year but several lost their lives. Our Winters, June to Aug, are cool and dry. Our Summers, December to Feb, are Hot and bring tropical storms.
  2. Been nice recently but dropped down to 23 deree's C today! I was half way to work before I put the aircon on in the Ute this morning. BBQ on the deck with a cold one in half an hour.
  3. Ridden several GSX14's. I love my big unfaired Suzuki's. Never owned one....yet, The ZRX11 / ZRX12 is a lot more fun to me so i'd be tempted to go for on of those.
  4. I bought a 1200 Bandit on Ebay. Only wanted a cheap project. Was a week or two before Xmas, bike was out West in a small country town, ad only had one pic and little discription. I put in a very low bid and won it. Guy said he was coming to Brissy and would deliver it for $50 fuel money. Turned out it was a high ranking member of the Bandito's MC, F@rkin' HUGE bloke who looked very intimidating. Even more so when I later did a google seach on his name !!! Bike turned out OK, still have it 2 years later.
  5. Typical seller B.S. 5 owners in 4 years isnt the end of the world, but its not normal with the folks I know. Milage wouldnt bother me, Condition and history would. We had a sweet little SV650 here for a while. Did a 740 mile weekend run up the coast and back, couldnt fault it. It had over 100,000k's (63,000 miles) on the clock.
  6. Think I posted this before ? Never owned a dog before in my 47 years. Always had cats. Low maintainence. Ended up recently with a Blue Heeler / Blue Cattle dog a breed created by crossing UK working dogs with Dingo's. ( same as in the Mad Max 2 movie ) Wasnt that keen, but he's obsessively loyal and you'd be a real brave man to set foot in my yard. He has his use's.

  8. I'd love a drink, but I know its not for me. * Going out for a quick pint whilst the Mrs cooked Sunday Lunch... ...and coming home on Thursday ? * Playing Golf in Spain and having to have a lie down half way around ? * Locking myself out of Hotel rooms, Once on the balcony ? * Waking up in Ayia Napa with the shakes having nightmaes ? ... and a hundred others i'd rather not share. Drinking was EXCELLENT, but I needed to move on in life. Still miss it though.
  9. Coke Zero. Havent had a drink in 4 and half years. I REALLY liked a drink, So i dealt with it. Lifes better for me without it. Im not anti drink, Its excellent in moderation.
  10. [quote="Chadatious"] Same here. I must have half a dozen or more. By far the best is a cheap one piece tube one. Will never buy a bolt together one again. The crappy bolt together one's I own will get weld up solid one day when I get around to it. The blue stand under the Busa get used most and has had one 200+kg bike or other on it constantly for the last 4 years. Came with both spool pick-up's and under arm plate lifts.
  11. I rode with my right wrist/lower arm in plaster for a while. Only down side was I couldnt get my leather over it and had to wear some 80's style paddock jacket, ...and I had to lean forward and lift my whole arm up to shut the throttle at traffic lights!....
  12. My 1980 1100ET, My 99 Bland-it 1200 Loooooog term project,
  13. I think I've posted these elsewhere, maybe when I joined ? Always happy to show my toy's though.... 2002 Hayabusa...
  14. They're quite popular out here (S and R models) to turn into naked bikes / Streetfighters. This is an "R" model a guy (Ben) off our ASF forum built.
  15. Building finished but lots still to do. driveway, permanent power, plumb in drains etc.
  16. Managed to find time and $'s to put a front tyre on the B-King. Pilot Road 3. New one for me, looks different. Any good ? Time will tell..... ....and im still collecting / finding / buying Busa bits. Not 100% sure why ! Might come in handy if I drop on a wreck/crashed bike?
  17. Still got sh*t loads of stuff to unpack but slowly doing a bit when I can.
  18. I pay $1484 a year. Thats 941 UK pounds a year. Thats fully comp on a B-King, Hayabusa Streefighter, GSX1100ET and a 1200 Bandit. Agreed valuation on all 4. Includes all riders gear and helmet, all pillions gear and helmet, luggage, locks, all modifications and accesseries. Option to buy back any salvage. Option to do own repairs.
  19. No annual MOT in Qld, although I think some of the lower states have one. You only need an MOT (Safety Cert) to get number plates for an unregistered bike or to sell a bike with the number plates with it. You can hand the plates back in and sell it "unregistered", no plates or roadworthy/safety cert. My Mobile MOT tester come's around the house and writes it up whilst I get him a beer/coffee.
  20. Our rego sticker (similar to your tax disc) includes basic insurance cover for any injury you may cause. This mean's im legal to ride/drive ANYTHING that is tax'ed, although its very basic cover. The theory behind cheap single seat rego is you cant hurt or put a claim in for a pillion if you cant carry one, = cheaper rego.
  21. Over here if you remove the pillion seat and the rear peg's you can get it inspected and registered as "single seat compliance" and your anual road tax go's down by half.
