Who's working Christmas Day?
Tony nitrous replied to gravelrash's topic in The Pub "Tinker and Budget"
Im taking from the 23rd to the 3rd off. We have a small crew working 24/7. Xmas day, New years eve etc. Not bad money at $50 / $60 (up to 38 UK pounds) an hour on 10 hour shifts plus travel allowance. Not expecting to work but put my name down as being "on call" for emergency/maintainence work as im the only one who's teetotal/sober! -
My best one was selling in the UK. I sold to a 1st time buyer and emmigrated. Told her not to argue over price and id leave EVERYTHING. Sold the house FULLY furnished, kettle on, milk in the fridge, I just packed CD's, clothes and photo's and walked out. A little different, but very good for both the buyer and I.

Had a lot of Rain last week, still getting showers yesterday (Saturday) Got up this morning to blazing sunshine. Did a quick 70 mile round trip up into the mountains and back. Felt f@rkin' hot ( but was only 28 degree's C ) just humid as hell!! Had leathers on (playing on great mountain roads) and the sweat was pouring out of me!! Looks like I got back just in time. Sat here listening to the thunder roll in.

I have an old GSX11 with an 18" front wheel with a low profile tyre. I think it originaly had a chunky 19" front. Cable speedo is waaaaaay out. My Sat nav isnt that great, no bike fittings and not the easiest to read. Was OK to put in a tank bag top pocket and do a few constant speed run's up and down a long quiet road to check the speedo. GPS speedo must be closer than the bikes !

Just been talking about them! I have a couple, cheap basic Navman's. They're only $99 out here. Bought the 2nd one because the upgrade to new map's was $99 or a complete new machine was $99!! What price are they in the UK ? Not sure if I should buy a UK download for next year or buy a machine in the UK.

My ram-air tubes go through the frame. We just put some mesh over them made from the old oil cooler guard. (im not too flash at wireing) Just inside the frame is a plasic tube that connects to the air box. The guy who did most of my wireing drilled a hole in the tube just behind the frame and put in some L.E.D's. I didnt know untill I put the lights on and the ram air-ducts lit up !!

Interesting project..... I used to have an all black ZZR1100C3 My 'fightered Hayabusa wasn't too pretty when we pulled off the tupperware. Ended up extending the loom. Fuses under the seat, relays under tank behind motor, quite a bit of head scratching. There's a few places making infill panels (for the Busa's) but mine are home made.
