  1. Couple of things to think about... * Dont waste money on a power commander. There is nothing they can do that a "flash" or re-map on the stock ECU wont match. Quite the opposite. The stock ECU can be told to do features a power commander cant. Full Systems. * Not sure about the UK, but all big modern bikes are coming out with catalitic converters. Cop's out here have realised they can do roadside tests with a mobile "sniffer" and issue a defect notice. Might not be an issue now, but our law's are quite similar.
  2. Local guy had a stock B-King with nothing but quite expensive dual Yoshi can's fitted. My bike was totaly stock. Both similar age, history, condition. Mine made 1hp MORE on the dyno than his ! His air/fuel ratio was VERY similar too mine, it did not need a remap or tune up. Seen this more than once. Tells me that the bike takes well to just can's and fueling should be OK. Also makes me think that with the restictive front pipes, catalitic converter and EXUP valve, your not going to get many extra pony's from just can's.
  3. If and when I put can's on mine its down to a 3 name short list. Yoshi's. Had them on a few bikes, got them on my Busa and Bandit. Always been a fan. Bodis. Best looking can for a B-King in my eyes. Staintune. Probably the one i'll go with if I keep the BK as my "legal" bike. The cop's have a clamp down on some of the area's I ride in and the Staintune is the only 100% legal db can. Still quiet but less ugly than stock.

  5. Get creative !! I've seen them with.. Moving..fast..faster..Oh my god..Whooo!.. BANNED! instead of numbers. I've seen the needles removed and the black arms and white gloved hands from a Mickey Mouse alarm clock fitted. Cut something to fit over the top and you can always remove it, no harm done.
  6. Have to keep tools (shovels, crowbars etc) in the shade. If we leave them in the sun they get too hot to pick up and use!
  7. Was good fun and i'll go back again, but most of them were listed as "repairable" on the insurance register so went for an OK price. Some cheap scooters, GS500's, CB400's (all learner legal here) and a very light damaged GL1500 wing for $1200.
  8. Bid on a few today but didnt end up buying anything. All repairable. 99 Bandit 12, 100,000k, tatty but rides. $1000. £670 Late Oilcooled B12, non runner, had a smack to motor $1000. £670 Gen2 Busa. Bodywork and clocks trashed, motor and frame "looked" OK. $4400. £2980 and a GSXR1000 and a GSX1400.
  9. Cold ? I just mowed back and front lawns, f@ckin' sweat is pooring out of me, not unbearably hot, but humid as hell ! BBQ on the deck tonight, just T-shirt and shorts.......
  10. We have regular auction's from the insurance companys. Might call in for a look if I get out of work early enough. http://www.manheim.com.au/brvm/items/3284375/2008_suzuki_haybabusa_gsx1300_motorcycle?referringPage=SearchResults http://www.manheim.com.au/BRVM/items/3278501/1999_suzuki_bandit_gsf1200s_motorcycle?referringPage=AuctionListing http://www.manheim.com.au/brvm/items/3275060/2008_suzuki_gsx_1400_motorcycle?referringPage=SearchResults http://www.manheim.com.au/brvm/items/3293112/2008_suzuki_gsxr_1000_motorcycle?referringPage=SearchResults http://www.manheim.com.au/BRVM/items/3274100/2000_kawasaki_ninja_zx-12r_motorcycle?referringPage=AuctionListing http://www.manheim.com.au/BRVM/items/3257226/2008_kawasaki_ninja_zx-14_motorcycle?referringPage=AuctionListing
  11. I took that pic at the Bulldog Bash MANY years a go. I love it... One of my bikes from my mis-spent youth....
  12. Yeah, the good thing about SV's is they are like Bandit's, very easy to upgrade with GSXR forks, better shocks etc. Big Boy's Meccano.... Joe's and a few more SV pic's here... http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/showthread.php?9971-Suzuki-SV-650-1000
  13. Love it ! Great shape, motor, frame etc, only thing for me was the suspension. Not a drama if your not keeping it long term or dont spend all weekend chasing sportsbikes, but even with a good shock and spring/oil in the front they're not very sporty. Lot's have folk have done suspension swaps, Local mate Joe used 636 Kwak stuff in his...
  14. Yeah, pommie's left their mark here, Just localy we have Ipswich, Warwick, Ascot, Brighton, Stafford, Salisbury, Paddington, Ebbw Vale and several others.
  15. Was on a friends facebook page, Someone posted "Gone in 60 seconds" ...
  16. EXCELLENT.... We've had 3 or 4 here.... My ex had one similar, had 110,000k's (about 68,000 miles) on the clock last time I saw it and was still going strong. Great fun. One of the few smaller bikes that im happy to get a go on. Mrs used to ride my Busa and I took the SV... Love it !!!
  17. Still on the Rocket 111 theme, Ben (who own's the expolding ZX9R in another thread) had a go at making a billet swingarm for one....
  18. This is something i've started doing, and another reason for the 6m x 9m shed and new tools / bike lifts etc. Im going to stick to what I know and like, Chain drive, Air/Oil/Water-cooled, 4 cylinder Suzuki's over a 1000cc. Bandits, GSX1100ET/EX/EF, Hayabusa's, B-Kings, Katana's, GSXR1100's etc. Im not out to make big money or quick money and I expect to sit on some parts for a while. The bikes im looking at are the backbone of the streetfighter scene and drag racing, both of which im involved with. The downside of my idea is the bikes im looking at are not normaly $50 or "take it away" junk, so a bit of investment is involved, but then again its an excuse to collect more stuff! Also looking at bring a few items in from the UK and the US, but only stuff I can afford to have sat around, not high $$$ item's or stuff I have to order in. Renthals, Headlights etc.
