Not REAL bad, my other bikes all have loud pipes, just sometimes they have a clamp down, and I live near some brilliant roads where they know they will catch lots of bikes. 1st offence is minor, what hurts is if you get done multiple times for the same offence the fine increases, eventualy with the option to take your bike. You'd have to be dumb to ignore identical fines though.

I've never liked the stupid plastic fake exhausts. B-Kings my only legal bike and I live near a few cop hot-spots for checking short rear guards, pipes, rego holders! etc, (and i've already lost a few points speeding) Not a huge fan of staintune, but its a legal option. http://www.staintune.com.au/exhausts/suzuki/Suzuki_B-King.htm

The Guys out here are still makeing them. All brand new parts. Phil Irving (who designed the bike) was an Aussie, and they are now being built as Irving Vincents. Motors up to 1600cc. http://www.irvingvincent.com/bikes The have had some win's up against modern bikes in the Supertwins/Battle of the Twins/ Daytona etc.

Have you seen this one Dave ? http://motoaus.com/road/road-bike-features-and-reviews/suzuki-b-king-ridden-and-raced-review.html Dave and Bec live near me (Gold Coast) and run at the same dragstrip, Willowbank. I think its a pretty accurate review from someone who doesnt own one / isnt paid by Suzuki. -

I do hope to ride the new Zed. I can see its apeal and it should be more nimble (and IS far better looking) than the King. Different tastes. I've ridden M109's and MT01's etc, the owners loved them, I thought they made good lazy bikes but had a serious lack of top-end. For me the best of the bunch was the TL R/S. The B-King makes close to 100 ft/lb of torque. More than many popular "grunty" V-twin's, it just likes a few extra rev's when doing it. Each to their own, different tastes... -

No, not yet. Would like too though. Looks good and most reports say it go's well. I find it hard to imaging that the B-Kings extra 300cc wouldnt be noticable ? Seen a stock, out of the crate B-King, in full road trim, with a rider who'd not been on one before, running in the very high 9's at the strip. The Z1000's around here can't do that. -

B-King has zero competition, because its the only bike in its class. A big bore, 4-pot naked with sports bike suspension and tyres. V-Max/V-Rod/Rocket111 are nothing like. (Shafts/belts and funny size tyres) All the big retro's GSX14/XJR/CB13/ZRX are low tech and lack the top end. The sportsbased naked like the CB1000F/R FZ1/Hornet etc either are castrated or lack grunt. Closest is the BMW K13R but its funny front end and shaft drive rule it out. B-King, no competition really... -

I wouldn't say "no" to another project bike, so although not desperate there's always a list of things I keep my eye out for with the idea of building/restoring something. An 1100 Katana with an oilcooled 1200 Bandit motor and modern running gear. or A Z650 with a Gpz750 turbo motor and modern running gear. or An original unfaired / twin shock CBX1000 (in red) or a Z1300 in black. or An original Z1100R Eddie Lawson Rep. or Kwak Z1R-TC -

I thought about a 190/50 but wasnt sure if i'd notice it being smaller or not. In theory the 190/50 would lower the back and slow the steering, opposite to a 190/55 (being taller than a 200/50) What I have found is that its not all in the numbers. The individual brands seem to differ between the same listed size and the tyres shape/profile makes a huge difference too. B-King is pretty long and lazy with its steering, It needs a little help, I have thought of raising the rear a little on the links, this would firm up the ratio too but thats no bad thing.
