  1. Yeah, I've had that a few times. He normaly go's red in the face, waves his arms about a lot, and charges me $300 to take points off my licence....
  2. Mate, BP out here changed their pump logo's to BP ULTIMATE unleaded and BP ULTIMATE Deisel. One of our Excavater operators filled a deisel ute up with petrol then filled the 300 litre fuel tank up that he carries on the back to refuel ! Lucky his fuel card only lets him pay for deisel so it was spotted at the servo. Wasnt cheap !!
  3. Went to seen a GSX1400, done a deal. Been after one for a while, ridden several, bid on one or two damaged ones at the auctions. 2008 Model. Black. About 40,000k's / 25,000 miles. Power commander, flat bars, Pazzo levers, Rack, Box, intercom's, Full Yoshi System, mini indicators, fork brace, good tyres, few other bits. (no tax or M.O.T but price was right) Been down on its right hand side. Clocks smashed and dont work, Dent in tank, Bikes straight and still rides well. Just got to work out how to move in down the coast. Chasing a few mates for transport or will do a deal with the Guy to deliver it. Should be later this week. Pic's posted up by the last owner when he was using it...
  4. See LOADS out here, T-shirt and shorts. Not unusualy to see folk ride in flip-flops. Mostly Hardley Dangerous but some Jap bike riders too. I normaly ride in full leathers, Boots/Jeans/Jacket/Gloves/Full face lid. Not to bad once im on the move but when the temps up towards 40, you REALLY avoid the city and traffic.
  5. We (Qld) dont change our clocks, but just over the border (NSW) do ! Makes it interesting on rides that cross back and forth and for towns build on the border of the 2 states... Busa's that fast I can head into NSW and get there half an hour before I set off !!!
  6. I think I've bought another bike! Had a look at one day. Looks like an easy-fix project and the price was right. Just need to get some $$$'s together and work out how to shift it, Its from up the North coast. Coming from another Streetfighter forum member but not someone I have met or know off of the "net".
  7. ...but neither the rider or the exhaust weigh very much on mine...
  8. Rain last night so out to play today (no work) Tried to take some pic's but my $50 camera that lives under the seat may be near the end of its life ! I dont think they are calender standard.
  9. Short rear gurds / tail tidys shouldnt be legal in any country. Thats why everything has them from new. They're needed to get past design/registration laws. Just like small plates/loud pipes in the UK the cops have decided to ticket for them here when it suits them. Some risk it and get away, others lose-$'s and points. Cops recently ticketed a few bikes for having full systems on late model bikes. Didn't mater how loud they were, the tickets were for no longer having a "cat" in the system. They knew which should / shouldnt.
  10. Well done Chad. Glad things are going well for you. Tony.J.
  11. Yeah, I agree. Still want to stay legal so might look at something off an FZ1 or modern sports bike that a bit slimmer.
  12. I might leave them on for a while. The worse bit for me is the way the rear guard bolts up, but I'd get that with any aftermarket can because I need to keep it to stay legal. They were cheap enough that I wont stress.
  13. Not sure I like them. Might put the originals back on. Louder than i'd like, ugly gaps, get f#ckin' hot!, less support for bodywork, Not convinced.
  14. Thanks. Thats handy. Mines a little different, It does away with the heavy tube subframe and mounts the rear guard up under the can's, and has a stainless insert not the stock bit between the cans's. Fitted it pretty easy this evening... Only thing im not 100% on is you can now see the loom to the rear lights handing down a tiny bit. Cant pull it up as its against the can's. Might cut and extend it and run it up under the bodywork. Still not 100% sure I like the looks, (better than stock but not as nice as some) but its WAAAY lighter and sounds a little more sporty. (and it was cheap!)
  15. [quote="Grumpyowl"][quote="Tony nitrous"] Its coming through the Streetfighters club. Last time I saw it, it had a full race system, flat bars, a powercommander, and was being launched down a drag strip!... ...
  16. Thanks. Never fitted underseat can's before but I dont think its rocket Science ? Not sure what to expect, the staintune website only show's 2 pic's from the same low/close angle. Cant be MUCH worse than standard !! They came with a form to send back to get an "im legal/db" plate to put on the bike which was why I didnt go with Yoshi's this time.
  17. Well said, ...and at the end of the day remember one thing, We cant all be perfect, because they never made enough B-Kings for all of us !
  18. As a pillion bike, Nothing. Plenty of grunt and not bad on the back... I dont mind the fact they're a naked bike, im happy to match anyone mile for mile with their tupperware bikes, only downside to me is the lack of top end and budget running gear. I do like them though, Im talking with a guy about buying his crashed/light damage one to use as a pillion bike. EDIT: Just had a message, im off to look at a GSX14 this weekend...
  19. Owned an 04 Busa new. Owned an 02 Busa 2nd hand. Got a streetfightered Busa now. Looking for a Gen2 Busa in the future. We dont live on a little Island, our bikes get to stretch their legs a little... A run up the coast to Cairns is over a 1000 miles. Busa's are a popular mile eater out here and I've never had a problem from my pillions.
  20. the thing thats put me off a busa is the rear seat , the mrs likes her comfort , the kwak has a proper seat as such. Busa is a great pillion bike. Its the reason my Streetfighter Busa has a standard tail and why I fancy a Gen2 Busa next as a Touring bike. Distance? Close to 1200 miles over one weekend, but 400 miles on a Sunday ride is normal with a pillion. There are aftermarket seats, racks, backrests available but we have never found them nessesary.
  21. Never owned either but ride with a lot of guys who do/have. Both good bikes, both proven products. Personaly i'd go for the ZZR, im not a fan of the Birds basic suspension, (unadjustable front and back needs to be raised) or the linked brakes. If the budget will stretch to it, the ZZR is a much better bike in my eyes, Suspension, Electrics, Performance, etc etc. Then again, they're both runner-up's to a Hayabusa as a Pillion Touring Missile !
