Server maintenance canceled. There's a compatibility issue with Factions and Minecraft 1.1 To try and to make sure I'm right about the "compatibility", I installed the unstable/beta bukkit build (minecraft 1.2.3) and it worked perfectly. I also tried an older version of Factions and it worked with 1.1 I am gonna wait for the stable release of Bukkit 1.2.3 before adding Factions. Sorry Server will be back on in 2 minutes after some files cleaning.

I need help trying to understand the point of this : Only faction members can build and destroy in their own territory. Interaction with the following items is also restricted by default: Wooden Door, Trapdoor, Chest, Furnace, Dispenser, and Diode. Make sure to put pressure plates in front of doors for your guest visitors. Otherwise they can’t get through. You can also use this to create member only areas. As dispensers are protected you can create traps without worrying about those arrows getting stolen. If I understand, the only way to get a "land" is by killing the players who are in the faction that owns the land. If you can't build or destroy, how can you get to their "town" or "land" and kill them (if they camp) ?

You guys are free to join anything you like. This topic just blew it off. There's so many things that keeps threatening this server to go down it's just not fun anymore. There is something 'outside' of this server that is rushing me. I just can't keep it up. What I hear everytime there's a problem (not from you guys) is : If you don't do that, I'ma do that. If there's not this, I'ma do that. I won't go into details. As for other stuff ; I am trying to make factions work. Yes, the server is going public when factions will work and when the next build is stable. @DemonicD3 I never said that. You might wanna look back in your inbox. I said yes to the topic but I never said anything you wrote after.

I might just leave the server to Sharok then. I'm working my ass off to try and make factions work without interfering with any other plugins we have because their compatibility list suck like hell. Point 1 is good. Personally, I haven't bothered with inactive people. I simply forgot. We made a topic a while ago asking how much time should we give to players who are inactive. The majority of people voted 4 weeks. Now that you bring up the list, I see 5 weeks and even 11. That's a kind of a bad considering we've made a poll to avoid that. Point 2 is mediocre. We promote adepts when the time comes. I thought of rank ratio but it didn't apply yet. So we are not playing with numbers. When an expert feel an adept is ready, they post. We all have different opinions, if you don't go up it doesn't mean you're someone with 0 potential or trust. Point 3 is random. You earned Adept. We know you do the job well. It is your own opinion if you think you should stay up there or not. I also get bombarded of questions, I also hide and I also ignore. It's not harsh, sometime you get too much and it's more respectful to hide than to say bullshit or other stuff. Don't feel bad if a novice say you're ignorant, you know you've done great things. I'm not going to vote in your poll. I also might delete it. We never said anything against you. You'll have to decide if you had too much. Take it easy, no one is perfect. As long as you do nothing bad (anything against the rule), look for a grief once in a while, we are happy.

It's not because a GM said yes that we should promote right away. GMs and Experts are the same. Their opinions and decisions are equally important. You might ask what's GM then.
