People were also contemplating things like VCRs and other electronics going bonkers. It was a crazy time, but when the new year started, then nothing out of this world occured. My husband worked in the computer branch, and he said that every day there were different rumors going around. -
I have seriously had deja vu before. When I was a kid, I said that I had been to Salt Lake City, Utah. Of course, I had never in my life been there, but I was sooo convinced that I had actually been there. Whenever I see pictures of it, I get that weird feeling that I have been there before but, why I feel that way is just bizarre. I've never questioned or even researched why I feel that way (although I do believe in reincarnation), it was just something that for some strange reason, I feel like I have been there. Otherwise, when I feel this way, it's a small, rather insignificant thing with me. -
Maybe you can get one done at a print shop. Just take the picture as a JPG file there and let them do the rest. -
We were at my friend's place, and all I remember from that night was standing out on the street, singing Cliff Richard's Millennium Prayer at the top of our lungs, getting weird looks from my husband, and setting off fireworks.

Oh yeah, Y2K. I remember that all too well. People really were panicking about it and I found it to be laughable. Of course, back then I was collecting the beanie babies and ended up getting a TY2K and he was cute.

To some extent I do believe in psychics, but not about all this 'end of the world stuff'. I think we all have this thing called 'psychic energy' in us, but to me, it boils down to things like one's conscience or inner voice talking to them. I have read stuff like Edgar Cayce and Shirley MacLaine as well as various theories and ideals about spirituality and spiritual concepts, but I don't base my existence on their words. At the same instance, I won't put too terribly much emphasis on things like Nostradamus and the like, simply because I think that a lot of the stuff going on involves natural laws of science and that involves theories of physics and other natural sciences.

I agree with Lisa. I am not a believer in the apocolypse. I had enough fear based stuff when I was a kid, and today I know that the more I worry about things the more physically sicker I become. I'd rather do my part to conserve and take care of this earth. I always loved the saying: We have not inherited the planet from our parents, we have borrowed it from our children.

Okay, maybe not the most, but I have spent a good four hours a week contending with laundry. Between washing and then hanging out to dry, and then ironing (arrrrrgh). -

I hope that your grandfather will be alright. Perhaps he should see a doctor about his double vision. Maybe that will help put your mind at easier. Take care. There are some nurses here in the forum, and I am certain that they will have much better advice. We're here for you if you need us. -

Good morning everyone. Not much going on here, same old same old. Sven has to use the comptuer today to do his resumes. I am going to retreat into the kitchen when he does that and cook lunch and write. My latest story is coming along nicely, but I've been sort of 'unmotivated' about posting it becuase it's not getting reviews at all. So, just another day here in wet, cold Germany. They did say the weather for the weekend is supposed to get better, thankfully, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I have to do my visits, otherwise I can't afford anything. Tiddly Winks has acclimated herself to living in a manner to which she has grown accustomed, so I need the coins. It's sort of obligation, but this new 'setup' makes them go faster.
