  1. Tiddly Winks

    Do you have..

I have an adopted nephew cat named Aberdeen. Does that count? Here's another picture of him. He's looking a bit frazzled though. Heheh.
  2. I got two red heart stickers in the cheap mystery boxes.
  3. awww, thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
  4. Me too, headache and all. I'll mosey over to the trading forum and see if I can find out what is in them. edit: The red heart pouch and the pink heart mobile are the items I am trying to find but can't.
  5. Just found another tiger. That's nice.
  6. The only ones I have are the cupid bear (traded for), the tiger (gifted), the apron and the wall sticker. The rest have eluded me.
  7. Thanks for the trade. Item sent and received. rep added.
  8. Okay, before anyone asks me, 'would you like some cheese to go with your whine', I am almost certain that many of you know what this is about. If not it'a about the array of absolute rubbish, nonsense and absolute JUNK in the GMBs. All I get are useless clothes. You'd think I'd have learned my lesson, but I want the Valentine's day stuff, and I can't find it anywhere. So, excuse me while I whine about it. Somebody needs to do this to those blasted -> Okay, i feel better now. Thanks for bearing with me.
  9. I'll trade. I love cupid bear and only have one. I have two tigers. Sending it over.
  10. I am a firm believer of reading something before saying 'gadzooks, it's the worst craze to hit since....uh...the backstreet boys!'. Actually, a funny bit with them, my mother actually listens to them, but that's another story. But, with books, I have to read them before I judge them. I read the first three Twilight books and by the end of Eclipse I was sick to my stomach. I started that last one, but couldn't get beyond chapter 3.
  11. That is too cute. I forgot to add that my choir is doing a Shakespearian style concert next year, so I am going to make myself an Elizabethian style dress. I want to make the one Tiddly Winks is wearing up there. I found a pattern that was similar...but it's going to be a huge challenge, but I can do it....I think.
  12. I absolutely love this dress!!!!!!!!!
  13. Thanks for the trade, dawnbrans. Rep added.
  14. Dawnbrans, your soup is finished and sent.
  15. You're not a freak. I think Lea and Lucky Strike said it very well. I can't add too much to this because this is one area where I cannot relate (I'm female and married to a wonderful man). But, I do know about the acceptance issue rather well. I grew up in the southern USA, where acceptance was not something that was given freely. It isn't to say that there are not open minded people in the area where I was raised, but there was a lot of conditions given on love (which is not really love at all). This happened among families more often than you could imagine. It's very difficult to be young and to try and define who you are and what sort of person you find attractive. I have a member of my family who is lesbian, and I don't treat her any differently. She's still family, and I care for her as I always have. Hang in there and do stick around the forum. It's a lovely place to be. I must also add that I think it was very brave of you to speak so honestly about this to a bunch of people you don't know. My only suggestion is, if this becomes too great a challenge for you, seek out some help in your area. There are no doubt community centers and help groups that can assist you in sorting things out. I hope that you find peace in being who you are and my best wishes to you now and always. Blessings, Yvette
  16. Hugs are always nice. Tiddly Winks loves all thoughts no matter the size. She's a very gracious pet who loves her friends very much. Of course she does have a wish list and I think even pets like her (high maintenance pets that is) have secret wishes and hopes.
  17. Pretty well. I have been applying the principle of 'letting go and letting God' into my life and it seems to be working. But, sometimes I do find myself really getting dragged down by what other people do, and then I have to stop and evaluate the situation. So far it's going well. I did put off the ministerial school for a time because my father in law has been sick and we've been coming and going around here so much so that I have contemplated installing a revolving door.
  18. When I was at the University, I did not have this problem. But, when I get started in my ministerial studies, I will be in the same boat with all fo you. What I have decided to do is take some time for myself, but I have decided that in the morning I would play PS (or other games) and in the afternoon I would devote to my writing, housework, cleaning, etc. Every day at 13:00 my husband comes home for lunch, so I have it on the table and ready when he arrives. Then after lunch, I try to concentrate on my writing. It's a matter of budgeting your time and managing to keep up with your studies. It's also about priorities. Hope that helps. Good luck with your studies.
  19. Oh thank God, I am not the only one. I did read the first three books, but I didn't like them. I am so glad that I am not out on a limb here.
  20. I love Archie comics, and my husband does too. Every time we go back to the States or Canada, we snag some double digests at the store. Cute little Archie trivia here, when we were living in New Jersey, we drove to Long Island, New York for a convention and met up with some of the Archie artists. I got a signed copy of a rereleased comic book from the 1950's. It was a great time. My favorite of the characters is Betty, but I also like Big Ethel and Jughead.
  21. My provider is there, but I'm a technology doofus. If you need anything from me at all, I'll be there. At least when I am away from home I can get news.
  22. Great interview. Congrats to Mr. Mayor the staff here, and all the members for making it possible.
