Cars without the interior are less interesting and attractive. Unless the casting is not available from other brands and very nice otherwise, it is not my cup of tea. -
Maisto cars without the interior must have turned away many collectors bec. these cars are perceived as incomplete, inferior and they are not cheaper. The interior is a major component of a car even it is for a toy!

I have the the classic Mini in ugly looking green paint. The casting is nice though. -
New card design, better looking wheels, ... Wonder any new model. Looks like we have to spend more money huh!

Why not sending your original works to Mattel? If accepted, not only you get $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ you also see your drawing transformed into a real Hotwheels car, probably with your name on it. Hehe... -

Same cars sold for RM 5.50 at TRU, too expensive. I prefer the blister/card type of packaging than the box type. But good thing about the box type is you can take out the car to have a good look or just do anything to it and put back. -
I have not seen any short card yet. One thing I do not like Maisto cars is they do not have interiors. But there are some nice castings like the blue new Mini, blue Fiat ??? (quite small car) with many details. Recently I bought one classic VW Golf GTI in black. This was a famous car and produced from 1974 to 1983. The Maisto casting is a sport version with large wheel arches.... printed with "GTI" on hood. Like it.

I'd like to hear your comments about value of old diecast cars. These cars without cards are normally in bad shape as kids I guess, played with them.

The cars are so similar, even the colours. Couldn't be wrong Mattel got the design from that real car. A selling point indeed - Fictitious yet close to real! -
Very nice TH cars. Vow! See the white wall tyres. No idea what car. -
Casting of Mazda 2 is not sharp. So not my cup of tea.

Mixed feeling - Got 2 Bad Bagger THs (1 $ ) but cards are less than mint. Wonder someone intentionally did it. Surprisingly the paint works and colour for the regular is better.
