my mate also had them on his CB1300 he took the baffles out drilled a few extra holes in them to get a bit mre noise then obviously put them back in to make them look legal again. when he sold his bike he got very good money off ebay for them I was very tempted to put these on my Busa but finished up with Yoshi's -

http://www.ultraseal.biz/pages/bikers.htm I think Stue would Poo Poo this. I've had 4 european trips with this in my tyres. Not had to try it in anger but was peace of mind. tyre fitters dont like hosing it out but if you pre-warn them its in the tyre i';ve had no probs. I still carry a emergency tyre repair kit but for about £25 think this is worth it.

with Bladerunner Lee, nothing to lose and don't forget a job interview is a two way street. You are going to be interviewing them as much as they are you. It's their job to impress you, despite lots of people out of work, It's not easy to find the right person etc. Good luck Lee It's nice to be wanted. Jim.

all looking well. one day i'll learn how to post piccies and put mine up. I too have the fork protectors and would have liked to match up the rear axle slider but they don't do one for the Gen2. I wanted a white Busa I think they look the Dogs but the Boss (Mrs) thinks the white looks like a gays handbag and said no. So mine is also the fastest colour "BLUE"

R&G crash bungs
Grumpyowl replied to Grumpyowl's topic in Advice on Repairing and maintaining your bike
you don't need luck. just set the laser back far enough to give yourself room to work. the hardest job is faffing about taking faring on and off. off to set up laser on bolt centre, back on to mark cutting point, back off to check laser not moved, after cutting then back on again to fit bungs. The gen2 is a bugger to get on and off the first few times till you get used to it. hopefully the gen1 is simpler. if like th gen2 there is foam on the back of the fairing were the hole is to be cut, get a stanley knife and cut a circle out of the foam before you drill. take your time it's not hard Jezza i got good speed up on the cutter before letting it touch the fairing and got a good clean cut. jim -

Mine is a gen2 is this what your getting Jezz or are you getting a gen1 ? anyway I was a bit nervous about doing this as you only get one chance. Like a lot of jobs like this it's easy if you get your P&P sorted first. I ordered a laser pen for £1.99 posted off ebay. Also a 1" (25mm) hole cutter from china for £3.25 posted (the're about £15 from BQ) the hole cutter had a pilot (guide) bit included. Now the messing about. Take off 1 fairing panel set up some kind of stand (flat surface, tripod) to set up the laser pen so that it shines bang centre in the bolt head. I dont have a tripod so my chest tool box, with a tea tray and a vice set up about 3foot away so you can work without disturbing the penlight (masking tape around the light on button to keep it lit) carefully put the fairing back on mask up the area so you can accuratly mark the drilling position. Take off the fairing do not disturb the laser beam. Check the beam is still bang centre on the engine bolt. If it is take a deep breath and drill your fairing. (top tip i used a stanley knife to cut a hole out of the foam on inside of fairing) I used a round file to smooth round the hole but it was a clean cut to be honest. Engine Bolt out, replace fairing and fit crash bung. Cup of Tea and repeat other side. Like a lot off jobs it's easy when you've done a few but she's my pride and joy and I didn't want to cause an expensive . To be honest I was quite proud of myself when I'd finished as it worked perfect. I'm still debating with myself if i was to do it again would i get a slightly bigger hole cutter 28 instead 25mm. as it is very snug and no room for error. however it is a perfect fit and you can't tell there not factory fitted as was commented by a guy at Matlock who was asking about them last week (whwn we had the summer). Good look take your time it's not hard. Sorry for the long drawn out reply. Jim. -

It's only the law to wear an helmet and not even that for some on religeous grounds. So it's ok to break the law by ignoring speed limits' modifying your bike bike with anti social loud exhausts. small numberplates and other mods. But your only a if you only wear a legal helmet and use your own discretion about anything else. Are the continental police Motorcyclist then when they ride round on duty in shirt sleeves ? Yes and I was riding round France 2 summers ago for a week in Jeans T-shirt gloves and helmet.. The weather was unreal and so was the feeling of riding so free . That was an unmissable experience just got sunburnt. One of the lads did come off got 12 broken ribs broken collar bone etc. But funnily enough no cuts or gravel rash

that's the problem. hard to change ingrained habits however what they said just on that day out made a lot of sense and felt, if i could just bring myself to adopt their advice as automatic, it could potentially save me from a nasty. This sounds good Iano Prob not just save from a nasty but also make your (anyones) ride more confidant and enjoyable wonder if they'd do a forum discount
