    i agree with ptolemyx. Yes it does work as it is, BUT make it simple with a poll.. then theres no need for ANY replies, ANY pages on the topic, just your post saying "Vote This months bike of the month"

    bout half foot of water covering the road, police shut it off and i went through on the zed, they gave me dodgy looks and someone else was just cracking up in there car whilst giving me the thumbs up bit of rain and the country comes to a stand still

    why don't you do it as a poll instaid of having to type peoples name to vote? makes life a lot easier plus you don't have to go through pages to count up!

    im just after some information from someone who has ridden one or both long term. theres only so much you can learn from a 30 minute test ride and all the reviews of sports bikes are useless for learning about how a bike behaves in the real world its all track and hooligan based. True True. One thing that might be worth taking into consideration is the newer sports bikes are getting smaller physically. For example, an early R1 is too much of a stretch for me, but the new ones feel like a much much smaller bike.

    it is but i dont think the difference between the cbr and zed is 8* and the seat height is more than 1" difference. It does gives you a good idea though

    All the bolts are out so going to wait till the other casings turn up and have a look to see if theres anything hidden!

    Turns out the 'small hole' in the side case wasn't small, can't be repaired. got another one to go on but could do with finding out how to split the bottom without touching the head/cams etc if possible lol. Looks like at some point, someones broken the mounts going from the bottom ( just above sump sadly ) into the upper engine casing and tried to bodge it with JB weld!!!! hopefully it will be worth doing in the end!

    Any one got any experience with splitting the engine on a thunderace? Its the lower case that needs replacing but i want to confirm if the head/barrels have to come off to remove the lower case or not as no one seems to know, some say you do on another forum, some say you don't.

    depends if you can get to the bottom of the carbs without actually removing them theres a screw on the bottom of each carb, it should be a Philips screw 2 will be pointing left, 2 pointing right. Unscrew them and the fuel/dirt should drain out put a rag under them else you will make a mess lol

    thats clean as hell!! my bike looks like it was thrown into a lake, dragged out through dirt and gravel then put in the sun to dry for a few days!

    I'll have to see how it goes might even buy another yolk, drill it/thread it and put some drag bars on it ( will raise it up more than heli or vario's ) Tell ya something really annoying with the cbr, the bars are not wide enough... nearly EVERY single time i go out on it i end up pressing the bastard horn with the inside of my hand >_< swear it was made for midgets ( or women? )

    I'm sure it will be fine Chad! still got a handful of people turning up. Sometimes smaller meets/rideouts are the better ones!

    First service is free with Kawasaki lol. Poor sod, its things like this that makes you wish the worse will happen to the t**t that stole the bike!

    as much as the combination of italian on an intalian bike, Rossi and Yamaha just works

    Permanent depending on whether or not i can ride it without being in too much pain ( bars are lower than the cbr ) Zed will get done when ever i find time/money. As its not my only bike, it can go on the back burner for a bit
