  1. Given it's coming ever closer, just need to check on timings etc. Travelling from the distant and freezing north where men are men and woman are worse we have: Ian (Lead Scout ) Mark Mike (Gravelrash) Tabzy (james) ? ? Banditmike Skelly ? ? Heading to meet Dick at Scotch Corner. It's about 2 hours down to the Water Sports Centre. So we heading out about 13:00-13:30, meet Dick en-route and then straight to Nottingham? That should get us there for around 16:00 (if not before ). Pitch tent, change then a quick few drinks before bed and the Ride-out. Any other thoughts?
  2. Good offer mate and if I had renthals I would take a look
  3. As I said in a previous post I would like to try a run into Europe on the bike next year, so I suppose it depends on whether we want to stay in the UK, or take the Forum Rideout into Europe for one year? For me, I think I would like to try a run into Europe. Screams for a vote, but not sure how to insert one?
  4. Dog looks curious???? Good luck mate, sure the eggs will start shortly
  5. I put a tank of the premium in on occasion. Thought it was supposed to help with cleaning the injectors etc?
  6. I'm out on Saturday. Keep saying I'm going to take a look at this at some point. Going to have to do it one day
  7. I would no problem mate, though I think I get the much better deal When would be best to drop over with them? I'm out on Saturday, but could call over Sunday with them?
  8. Looking forward to this one. Should be a good weekend All we need is and we can get a ride out this year
  9. I've got a few spare bits if any use to anyone. Got the original brake and clutch hoses from my K1 - includes the compensator (2001, 1200) The rear light surround from my Dads Mark 1 (1998, 1200) The rear light from my old K1 (2001, 1200) If they're no use to anyone they will just go on evilbay. Let me know if interested. Will put some pics up if people want?
  10. I've done exactly what I said I would. Forget to keep the figures updated
  11. Have you seen anything you fancy mate, or going to sell yours to free up the capital, then start looking?
  12. Then leave the front wheel on the ground
  13. Thanks once to everyone for their messages Going out Saturday with a few friends to celebrate. (Mexican meal and then a film - last of the rebels me )
  14. The degree is in Commercial Quantity Surveying. Which basically means I'm now qualified to count bricks or measure walls etc on a construction site and then argue with the sub-contracator about how much he wants to charge The maths sounds interesting, enjoyed that at school. Been debating going and doing my A-Level again, but not had time. That may change now
  15. I don't think I would want to see the fuel cost We wouldn't either ! Mrs has an "unlimited" BP fuel card supplied by work. Hasn't paid for fuel in years. That's the reason I go everywhere in her car not mine. Only complaint she gets is that she DOESN'T do enough mileage! The car is classed as a tax write off through her job and low mileage doesn't justify it. Mad. She even chose the car I wanted, Huge boot (takes a bike without wheels and mirrors) and has a tow bar, big engine hoiks a trailer along. Sounds like the perfect "family" car Sounds like more weekends away travelling required. You'll have to get her away more on a weekend, then you can also do more mileage
  16. I think I'd have been impressed he stayed upright
  17. Wait for Dave to give the nod, but I don't think it will be a problem. It's a fairly substantial campsite so should be enough room. Will be good to meet and put a face to the name
  18. Looks good I find myself liking the look of these, but then wondering whether I would be able to ride them
  19. Yes I notice that the power rangers do not really respond. Whenever I stop off somewhere I like to chat to other bikers there. Every power ranger I've met has always been a bit of a obviously this does not apply to all of them but just my own experiences. I do agree. Most of the lads are fine, but some just seem to keep themselves to themselves. Each to their own I suppose. If they don't want to speak to us, their loss
  20. Had a bit of a bimble out and about. First one after having to put a new rear calliper on my bike (well actually my unpaid mechanic did ) Modern take on an old classic: Looks good: And, of course, provisions
