42 thats a bit high, haynes manual says 36 front and 36 rear Hell no 42 on the rear & I'd bounce off I'm a lighweight at 11 stone

Following on from this I checked my tyre pressures today after Stue11 filled them with nitro the other week. They are still bag on 36 front & back. Cheers

Ok Rich. You say the rectifier is getting hot correct. That is telling me that there is too much current been drawn. For too much current been pulled points to poor wiring connections somewhere in particular earth connections. First point to check is your main earth off the battery to the bike chasis. Don't just look at it, it needs to be dismantled and really well cleaned, replace anything that is corroded. Then check all connections to major components such as starter motor/ altenator/ HT coils ect pay particular attention to the condition of their earth connections. If the problem is still there then it could be an issue with the altenator. Hope this helps

I agree kit looks really good however as a bandit rider breakdowns are rare & if its a puncture then ill call the recovery block who i have already paid for in my premium

I have one great on getting to the bare metal to then treat against rust.

I believe my winsock file is corrupted. I keep on getting flaky connections. Sometimes it holds then it drops. I also notice when it drops my IP address is also lost when I do an ipconfig check. System is then unable to dhcp a new ip address unless I re-boot machine. I have 2 other PCs on this network 1 running xp the other win 7 both have no issues connecting through the router. Router is BT home hub Does anybody have info on how to repair it or will I need to do a full reformat. I also do not want to pay for a software fix eg PC Health Advisor. I have already tried winsock xp fix which failed. It is rather a techi post but maybe Hawki can shed some light on the issue. Thanks Darkember
