  1. I'm not at all drunk, but have bid on 6 caravans and 4 motorbikes today. On the plus side I was using small child's ebay account so no doubt when he get's updates on his phone he may get a bit shouty
  2. welcome to the forum Pinky, they're a personable bunch on here. Mostly.
  3. Hope you never need to use them in anger mate, but if you did you'll be glad you chose R&G
  4. It depends what you want from you 'net connection Dave, connection speeds/limits/bandwidth throttling/support/connection stability/network response/usenet server access & retention/bundled phone/price/contract length/free router etc are all variables that are differently important to different people, so there really isn't a 'one size fits all' to point at, and anybody's opinion will naturally be based on their own requirements and experiences. As I live in pikeyville, cable broadband isn't an option for me, I detest 12/18 month contracts, I want full usenet access, a static IP address and typically pull down around 90 Gb a month (that's without using any P2P stuff or binary newsgroups) so my choice is therefore fairly limited and not a bargainous price. The old dear however wants uber cheapness and a phone package and that's about it, so is with a different ISP every 12 months, and the other half wants a reasonable download quota, but doesn't care if it's at 1Mb or 10Mb speeds & doesn't use the net for owt other than web browsing and email, so she is with yet a different one. IME Zen are very good & stable but dear, Plusnet are OK (a bit less so since they have bought by BT) Be, IDNet, Sky, Virgin and even TalkTalk even have people I know that are happy with their service, but as I said up there, it *really* depends what you want from it. Here is a decent starting point to see what would suit: http://www.thinkbroadband.com/search/package/basic.html Failing that, stop digging footings too deep
  5. AOL have *always* been known for their unreliability amongst other things. Admittedly they have improved over the years but still are way behind the field. Seriously, if AOL were my only option for broadband, then I'd do without.
  6. This ^^^^ is your problem, pure and simple.
  7. Useful indeed I actually paid money for the stand alone version and then google went and deprecated google gears
  8. Yes, it's do-able but will need stripping for a proper job. For that kind of money walk away mate, lots easier and cheaper to buy a straight one - 51 plates can be had for around 2 grand often enough and if you're going to fighter it you get to recoup some dollar on the plastics - will probably end up cheaper than buying the one you have been offered, with lots less hassle.
  9. It looks even less appealing than the Puch Magnum (s)he also has on there. Perhaps it wouldn't fit in the recycling bin?
  10. But there's a big gap at the front where a full fairing should be
  11. Not much to be honest, I'll occasionally buy a copy of Ride for some particular kit review or feature, but other than that the mainstream ones seem to be a bit 'samey' to me.
  12. Not with the camera on the bike, no. Laddo was on the old orange kwak that was dicing with him most of the way and on the left of the 3 on that last corner. I was watching at Edwina's on that race, and all 3 bikes came together, with the biggest impact between the Nick on the R6 (camera bike) and the Suzuki on the right - the Suzi went down, Nick thought he'd saved it but a second impact saw him go down as well. Fair bit of damage to the R6 and his carbon fibre helmet is totalled, the Suzi fared about the same but unfortunately the rider was hurt enough to have the doctors attend and cart him away to hospital with some broken ribs. Seems that even racing stock bikes can be fun...
  13. This is the roadstocks race 2, with 4 tenths of a second separating the top 5 riders best lap times and shows what happens when the front 3 all try and enter Edwina's chicance at the same time on the last lap
  14. Toughest month yet with 3 or 4 that do it for me pic-wise... Stue11 gets it by a fag paper
  15. What is this camping of which you speak? Is it some sort of budget hotel with no trouser press? Me and daughter did a week away with a pannier of clothes each and the top box had shoes, laptop, camera gear, drinks and stuff - so about enough space for Dave's cleaning products and some ACF50
  16. I would. But I might check the oil afterwards
  17. Happy Birthday Chad Have a good one.
  18. Housework and fuel? Is this some reference to the daft git that was decanting petrol in her kitchen with the gas cooker on? But yeah I can do all that housework malarky and what a doddle it is compared to having a real job...
  19. The tanker driver's aren't striking over the cost of fuel though are they? But as you rightly say, the brit way is to moan and whinge, but then pay up and carry on. I just *really* can't believe the panic buying - *if* there is going to be a strike we get 7 days notice and it's going to go on for what, four whole days? If all this is a result of some minister saying it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a can or two of fuel spare can you imagine if something serious kicked off? No wonder the general public wouldn't be informed straight away.....
  20. Mmm Parkers were out earlier and there was a huuuuge queue at Branstons apparently. Personally I'd just leave it to the middle of the night and hit a 24 hour one. That's if I was fussed, which I'm not as long as I can get enough diesel into the van to get to Mallory next weekend.
  21. The man from the taste police, he say "neons are neg"
  22. I've done it once, years ago in a company transit. Realised after putting about a quarter of a tank in, so paid for the petrol out of my own pocket and then filled up the rest with diesel on the company fuel card. Seemed to get away with it
