  1. High mileage, but only one previous owner - second hand coffin: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Real-Coffin-Casket-used-/170825171489?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&hash=item27c5f94221
  2. "As part of a drive to host BTCC, Formula 3 and GT car racing events, Cadwell Park will undergo changes. Parts of the circuit will need to be widened in order to accomodate the cars. The site will receive a £6 million track extension, new grandstands, new pits and better dining facilities, as well as a hotel and museum. The project will be funded by MotorSport Vision and will hopefully include an improvement to the paddock which is well below par compared to other national circuits." Do you reckon it will ruin it? No doubt the paddock is rubbish and could do with some pit garages / electricity, but will MSV just try and make it nice and shiny, and thus bland?
  3. Or £1200 in the case of Daytona Security Evo3 GPs ! Buying online is always a bit hit and miss for clothing, cuz they may look nice or well bolted together, but they may fall apart or just not fit right. Out of those 2, the RSTs look better. Ghostbikes do some sporty looking Blytz boots for 59 quid. Sportsbikeshop do some Spada ST1s for £99. Any of these any good? Dunno if you're near a J&S http://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/shop/boots/sports.html?dir=asc&order=price
  4. No-one is ever in there when I log in Must be the deodorant !
  5. Didn't Maxxis used to be Cheng Shin? I've had some before on a couple of bikes and they are OK though, unless you're trying too hard
  6. [quote="Tony nitrous"]I have seen new replacement frames sent out without factory numbers. Not uncommon at all, don't panic too much if there is simply no frame number. Tampered frame numbers are a different matter entirely! I'd say it's had a shunt and a new frame. Has it been HPI'd? If the smack was registered then the insco should have notified the DVLA or at the very least they may have some record of it. If it was a "CAT B" it should have had the original frame destroyed and the bike only broken for parts and not sold to retail punters, *but* you see quite a few for sale in that state! If there really is no VIN on the headstock (rather than it being tampered with) just take it somewhere else to get it MOT'd - you'd be surprised how many places don't check the VIN now it's all computerised, they just punch in the reg number and as long as it doesn't come up as a yellow Ford Transit tipper, they just carry on with the test without checking. After you have found somewhere to MOT it, get onto the DVLA directly and seek advice on the best way forward. They may suggest re-registering it on a Q plate if there is no receipt for the new frame (this tends to make insurance a little trickier than normal) or they may request a confirmation letter from Kawasaki, or they may just add a note onto the log book. Chill your beans. As a final note, be aware that bikes bought new from most manufacturers under their subsidised race bike program don't have frame numbers, although 1) they aren't intended to ever see a road and b) highly unlikely that a ZZR would have been *ever* sold as a race bike!

Hello and welcome to the forum fella.
  8. Dunno if anyone here uses getgeared.co.uk, but if you do and you're about to order something, use the code "5STAR" at the checkout and it gets you free delivery. Not much, but saves between 4 quid and a tenner.
  9. Yeah, Mel has some people going to view it tomorrow when Dave's gone off to play for the weekend. I think she said something about *her* new friends sparkle, from 2 berth to 2 carats or something
  10. Even though it's a naked bike, I still like the look of those, good choice sir
  11. Unless it's for a very ickle bike (which have split links in) all the chains I have bought have been 'open ended'. Yes a riveter is best but the new pin ends *can* be flared out with a hammer and punch, using a chunky lump hammer as a stop, behind the chain, but it's probably not a recommended method. Chain riveters start at just upwards of a tenner, but these are best viewed as 'disposable', as the few sub £50 I've used have all been of questionable durability
  12. Don't be daft I'd just be When she rang, I thought I was in for a night of luvvering as well
  13. Brilliant and not a hi-viz in sight
  14. Well done fella, but you appear to be in the wrong job - you could sell sand in a desert
  15. Not surprising with new registrations being down year on year, . I read somewhere recently that sportsbike sales in Italy are 93% down on ten years ago There also seem to be a lot less 'pre-reg' deals kicking around than there were 1-2 years ago when the big names hiked the prices up. BTW I'd expect Redcar will sticker Daves at £2795...
  16. When painting a room, it's best not to put all the paint that has been used around the house in one room. If you do, try and be careful not to mix it up.... Because when you paint the walls in matt, but do the cutting in in silk, it all looks the same when it's wet - but not, it would seem, when it dries out....

    cheap gloves

That price is for a pallet of 10,000 pairs
  18. As far as I'm aware, they can try and grab the money without sending you a renewal notice, provided that it was in the original Ts&Cs that it will auto-renew with a recurring annual payment - AA are buggers for this with their breakdown cover. Had similar happen in the past, and told them to whistle for the week or whatever cover they were claiming and they eventually go away, but can be a bit y with supplying you with proof of NCB. Tends to be quite common with the brokers that aim at the cheaper end of the market, but not exclusively so. As for getting a black mark, well if it's a one off payment then it doesn't qualify as a credit agreement, thus no account default information would be lodged the credit reference agencies. The only other way that it can go against your better half is if they went down the County Court route to recover the outstanding amount - which will cost them £35 to instigate so chances are they won't pursue that option either (especially if during your conversation you mention that you are "unemployed, having just got outta nick and I got a dog onna string" [1] and even if they do secure a CCJ the court will order you to repay it at £1 per month. Tell her to chill mate, it'll be fine. [1] Or insert chosen financial hardship pointer here...
  19. welcome fella, which part of convict-land are you from? PS forum rule No.7 is that people in hotter climes like you and Tony are not allowed to keep posting how good your weather is.....
  20. That's a brilliant result Dave They did pay you in Sterling and not in Suzuki accessory vouchers didn't they?
  21. Just a couple of pics pic of small child [1] from his race meet at Mallory t'other week. [1] "Small child" as in the youngest, even though he is 6'1" and 17 stone...
  22. Leave 'em standard, or if you really want to mess then powder coat them black.
  23. If you can stretch a teeny bit more there are some TCX available from the same place: http://www.ghostbikes.com/products/2018-tcx-s-race-motorcycle-boots.html In a selection of neg colours though, they are OOS of black. Or the Competizone S at Moore Speed Racing: http://www.moorespeedracing.co.uk/tcx-sidi-richa-motorbike-boots/tcx-competizone-s-racing-motorcycle-boot.html with a few quid off for the forum discount Big fan of TCX stuff, so I may be a bit biased.
  24. "proposed legislation to force all riders to wear 150m3 of reflective clothing around the arm" You'd need arms like Stue to cope with that
