Hubby and I are praying.

Im from Oklahoma City, Ok and have lived in Mn, California and Wisconsin.

Eagles Wings, I feel the same way. No one, not one person here on earth is worthy of his most precious gift except that he loved us and gave his life for us. It says also in the Word, No better friend does a man have than one that would lay down his life for a friend. I was thinking that He did not even know my name and gave his life.....but He did know my name and still gave His life as a sacrifice for my sin and the sin of all the world from the beginning of time to the end of all things. That is a lot of sin and alot to bear. He bore it because it was the will of the one who sent him and his name is Jehovah God! We are covered by the blood shed on Calvery and we are forgiven because he forgave us first. He prayed for us in the garden of Gathsemene. In the book of John and I believe it is the 16th chapter. Don't quote me. We are so blessed and half the time we don't even appreciate it. Sometimes I think to myself, what would have happended to us if Jesus did not save us from our retched selves? All I can say is it would not have been pretty at all. Let's just say we would not be where we are today. I personally cannot thank Him enough for all He has done for me. Excellent post by the by. Father God, We lift before you our friend and brother in Christ, D. We thank you Father that you are the God of provision and not of lack. We thank you that you are an on time God and that you never leave us in lack but in the Land of supply. I so understand where you are. I went through the same thing with my husband several years ago. He believed in God and Jesus but did not really grasp going to a "Holy Roller" church. I am a pentacostal preacher so as you can imagine that was an issue for us. For many years I had to wait on the Lord and my husband to come up to speed. I just blessed him everyday and took the matter before the Lord. I gave it to him and in submission to my husband waited for it all to happen. 2 years after I prayed everyday I was so amazed, my husband came up to me and asked me to go to the church I wanted. I was so shocked. I said sure honey, lets check it out. We are still going to that church. How God was that? So be patient and submissive in this one thing and let the Lord do all the work. I so agree with Cholette. Pray, pray, pray and then pray some more. God will hear each one and answer those prayers. Also I agree with the Joel Olstein advice. Encourage your husband and bless him everyday. Plead the blood of Jesus over his addiction and over every area of your life and marriage and the kids. I will be praying for you as well. I was just going to say what Alexis said about heading up your own group. I also agree with Lola and Cholette too. There is a purpose for this season in your life right now. Seek God for the answer but be involved. Getting involved is a great way to get to know people. Do it because you love the Lord, and in so doing you will meet others. Love in Jesus, Connie
