Yippeeeee! I just got off the phone with my insurance claim adjuster. She told me I have a $500 deductible that is WAIVED because of the fire. I don't have to pay it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She said if the car is totaled, they would pay it off. If it can be repaired, they will repair it with no out-of-pocket money from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She said she knows it will be a total, but she can't say it. The auto damage adjuster has to officially report it as totaled!!!!!!!!!!! Yes...I'm going to get my car!!!!!!!!!!!!

No weapon forged against me shall prosper! Devil you are a liar and the father of all lies! You are indeed a defeated foe! God will protect me. He has given His angels charge over me and He places His shield (hedge) of protection around me and my children EVERY morning! Devil, you have just set me up for a blessing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God, I thank you for life. I speak life into every situation and every area that "looks" dead to the natural eye! I call forth miracles, signs and wonders to MANIFEST even now, Lord. God, hasten your word. Robe me in righteousness. Saturate me in your glory from the crown of my head to the soul of my feet. Thank you Jesus!!!!!!!! Fellow dreamers, I just had to get that out. The devil tried to kill me this morning! I was on my way to work. I had to stop and put some water in my car because I noticed the temperature hand was close to the H. There was a little smoke coming out. After I put the water in, I headed on to work. I didn't make it 10 miles when the car didn't want to pull and eventually cut off. I coasted onto the shoulder. I tried to crank it back up but it wouldn't say anything. I saw smoke coming from under the hood. I called a co-worker (who travels the same way) to see if he had made it to work or if he was in the area. He told me he would turn around and come get me. After I got off the phone with him, I called the man I let fix on my car. I told him what had just happened and asked him if he could come pick the car up. As I was talking to him (I'm still sitting in the car), MORE and MORE smoke started coming from under the hood. I told him something was happening because I was seeing TOO MUCH smoke. Next thing I know, the car burst into FLAMES! I quickly grabbed my bags, jumped out of the car and started running. All I could think of was, "This car is about to blow up. Am I going to make it far enough that I won't get caught up if this car blows? My kids? My family?" Everything was going through my mind. My car is on fire, I'm running for my life and guess what? No one stops. These people are just driving past me!? I couldn't believe it. I'm crying...scared to death standing on the side of the road and these people are driving past me - No one is stopping!? As I was running, I noticed a sheriffs car coming to help. He asked me if I was okay and if I was the only person in the car. Thank God, it was only me. He got the fire extinguisher to put the fire out. It would die out and come up again. He called the fire department to make sure it was completely out. He had to stop traffic for about 20 minutes. I'm okay and I wasn't hurt but it took me coming to work and one of my co-workers (a minister) to open my eyes to what had just happened. He asked me if I was praying. I told him what had happened and he went to praising God. I'm like, "WHAT?!" He asked me if I was hurt. I said no. He asked me if the kids still have their mother. I said yes. He asked me if I was in the car when it burst into flames. I said yes. He asked me if I was still alive. I said yes. He said the enemy is after you so rejoice. He said do you have insurance. I said yes. He said, "That sounds like a new car to me!" I thank God for saving my life and proving, once again, how He is MY (I have to make this personal this morning) SAVIOR and MY PROTECTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention the fact I NEED another car!!!!!!!!!!

A carrot? An egg? A coffee bean? A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up, She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, ' Tell me what you see.' 'Carrots, eggs, and coffee,' she replied. Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg. Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, 'What does it mean, mother?' Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water. 'Which are you?' she asked her daughter. 'When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean? Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength? Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart? Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean? May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

Father, I pray that you will cause Pat to have eyes fixed only on his wife. Cause the desires he has to be fulfilled with his wife. Cause him to only have a heart for his wife. Cause him to honor and respect his marriage in ALL areas. Give him a mind to stand against sexual temptation that will lead to extramarital affairs. I bind and come against the assignment of the enemy to bring division in this union. Satan, the blood of Jesus is against you. I command the plots, plans and schemes the enemy has devised against this union to be cursed at the root and die right now in Jesus name! I command the spirit of adultery, the spirit of lust and every unclean spirit in operation to be denounced immediately. I dispatch the warring angels that God assigned to have charge of you and send them to flight to wage war against this ungodly relationship. Lord, we thank You for your love and kindness. We thank You, we honor You, and we give You all the glory for working things out...In Jesus' name we pray. Amen - Amen - and Amen! NOT ON MY WATCH DEVIL!

Before I begin. I want to ask you not to take this the wrong way or be offended because this is not meant in that way. First, I thank God that your friend has been delivered from satanism. However; I feel that she needs to KNOW that she KNOW that she KNOWS God has given her an "assignment" to war against these spirits right now...so soon after being delivered. all believers have God's power inside Has your friend been filled with the Holy Ghost? Acts 1:8 says we shall have power AFTER the Holy Ghost has come upon us. I think that's where a lot of us make a mistake. We try to step into ministry too soon and we're not graced and anointed for it yet. Her assignment could be EXACTLY what you're speaking about but if God has not equipped her, prepared her, graced her, anointed her, and released her into battle, then she will be on her own because He didn't give her permission to move forward.

There is a T-Shirt (I hear there are bumper stickers as well) that someone is circulating. It has praying hands on the top and says..."Pray for Obama Psalms 109:8". If you're not familiar with this verse of scripture; it reads.. 8 Let his years be few; let someone else take his position I will take it a little further 9 May his children become fatherless, and his wife a widow 10 May his children wander as beggars and be driven from their ruined homes 11 May creditors seize his entire estate, and strangers take all he has earned 12 Let no one be kind to him; let no one pity his fatherless children 13 May all his offspring die. May his family name be blotted out in a singel generation. Please read the entire chapter. Let's keep him and his family, ALL of our leaders, covered in prayer.

How much power does God gives Pastors over congregation?

Cholette, I hear you. We all know that scaring people to be obedient does not work. Children prove that to parents everyday. Do you/we feel pressured when asked to do something you/we don't want to do or do something you/we want to do? We do what we want to do. I didn't want to stop smoking weed/drinking/clubbing/having sex/fighting - so guess what? I didn't want to hear it and at the time that's all it seemed to be coming across the pulpit. So it had to be at least one time that all of the teaching I heard settled in my heart and took root. Did I feel pressured to stop doing all of it when it came across the pulpit? No. I was feeling convicted and I didn't like it because I didn't want to stop. -

I just wonder WHY there's so much controversy when it comes to paying tithes. The church is the only place where people question giving money. I haven't been taught nor have I ever read in the Word, that I should give in order to get a blessing. Nor do I pay my tithes in order to keep from being cursed with a curse. Paying tithes has always been a hair-raiser and I absolutely don't get it... -

This is how I feel about it. Again, I can only speak for myself... I obey my earthly spiritual authority. I follow my earthly spiritual authority (Pastor) AS she follow Christ. I don't do it because I'm told I better do it. I do it because God has placed me under her authority as my spiritual earthly shepherd. It's not so much that I obey everything "she" says. But I try to obey everything about living for Jesus she preaches through the word of God...even then, I read and learn the word for myself. Would God give man so much control that the only way that people can come out is by obeying something some one else says. I don't agree with this. If this were the case, Jesus is a lie when he said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the father but by me" John 14:6... And we all know that He is not a liar. Told us to double our tithes..If we don't pay tithes we go through hell and high water, and we basically can not serve I hope this was only a suggestion/challenge. My Pastor pays double tithes because God placed it on HER heart to do so. Through her obedience, He has truly blessed her and the church tremendously. It's not even about the money she's sowing. It's about her obedience and her faith to trust in God. She shared with us what she was doing and told us to stretch our faith if God led us to do so. She told us NOT to do it if God wasn't in it and we didn't have the faith to back it up. I am a faithful tithe payer and as much as I wanted to try it and try God at His word...my faith is NOT there yet...DOUBLE?! I feel bad when I don't give enough... I know what you mean. I used to feel the same way. But you have to remember that if you give cheerfully out of what you have (I don't care if it's a penny [a mite]), it's more than enough. Think about the times you had and did give what you desired to give. If you're feeling bad because "man" says you're not giving enough; you're allowing condemnation to overtake you. If you're feeling bad because God has asked you to give a certain amount and you don't; you're being convicted out of disobedience and lack of faith. Don't get the two confused. In conviction, all it takes is Godly sorrow that leads to Godly repentance and God will ALWAYS give you another chance. You're doing the right thing by NOT putting your mouth on your Pastor. All you can do is pray for him. -
