  1. Depends wich side of the globe u r on ..but hey, enjoy your day!
  2. Keep praying/pleading the blood of Jesus over her and her daughter (and her house). If her family is worshipping idols, this opens them and their house up for darkness and it's entities to come in. Demons have free entry when they've been given the legal right to be there (not by your friend) but by her relatives. The blood of Jesus, when plead over your friend is her most powerful protection, tell her that by her being born again and being a child of Jesus Christ she has authority to tell the enemy/demons not to harass her in her house as they don't have the rights to her, like u said, she belongs to Jesus.. Her dreams/nightmares might be pointing out the reality of what's going on in the house. As her family isn't saved, and actively pursuing darkness(by worshipping idols) this is a difficult situation for her and she will need constant covering:she already has that by being a christian but might need to learn how to apply/walk in that; based on the Word (Living out Ephesians 6:10-18) and besides that you can pray for her on an ongoing base too from wherever u are. My husband often had (sometimes still has) nightmares (he's not saved), so I see it as my duty to plead the blood of Jesus over ourselves every night before we go to sleep. On a regular base I too pray through my whole house/bedroom and if necessary annoint with oil (in particular when he's having a lot of nightmares/seeing things and general strife..). Pray this be of help. God bless you. She's blessed to have a godly friend in you who can pray for/with her too.
  3. Hi Hindsfeet, hope you'll have a lovely day! God bless you!
  4. praying for a good operation and complete healing in the name of our Lord Jesus.
  5. Angelwings wrote:"I'm going through a tough season. I'm having conflicting feelings about the church I attend. I've been crying out to God for guidance...and I'm not receiving anything yet. I have to admit that I'm wondering if my gut feeling IS the Lord and I'm just not listening because I'm expecting a different answer, or if the enemy has placed doubts in my mind. I should have friends (fellow christians in the body of Christ) to bond with and share the goodness of God." Just a question I had when I read your post: What are your gut feelings about the place? Often the things that concern us most, in this case your church, are the things that are pointed out to us for a reason.. I just want to encourage you to keep searching God about this as He does have a place for you, if that's the place you are right now, I can't answer that for you, He only can. I've been in a very similar situation: lack of godly friends when moving to a new town/church and noticing things that I thought were just a gut feeling.., etc. A lot of things that I was getting discouraged by.. and I believe God never brings discouragement..the enemy tried to get me on weak spots (as he does..). But God has been so faithful to me in that time. That time forced me to learn to totally depend on Him, whilst still having the (legitimate) desire to have godly friends. HE is and has been there for me everytime I need(ed) a friend and I can't count the number of times that I've cried out to Him with the same questions. But you know what, it's been in those times that I've found the deepest moments of healing I needed (didn't know I needed it until it happened..) And on the seeing things that aren't right (your gut feeling), I've noticed that in my case it is because He has a plan with that. It takes certain people to notice things that might need changing for Him, to be passionate about those things, to be the change He desires in those places. This is just what happened to me, I don't know if it applies to you, but just wanted to share this to encourage you. God is GOOD and He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you:) By the way, I am praying you will find good friends too!! In Christ, traveller
  6. Hi daphanie, Interesting topic..Just passing on what I've found on familiar spirits in the bible I use (amplified) Leviticus 19:31 Turn not to those [mediums] who have familiar spirits or to wizards; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 20:6 The person who turns to those who have familiar spirits and to wizards, [being unfaithful to Israel's Maker Who is her Husband, and thus] playing the harlot after them, I will set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people [that he may not be included in the atonement made for them]. Leviticus 20:27 A man or woman who is a medium and has a familiar spirit or is a wizard shall surely be put to death, be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them. So Saul disguised himself, put on other raiment, and he and two men with him went and came to the woman at night. He said to her, Perceive for me by the familiar spirit and bring up for me the dead person whom I shall name to you. Isaiah 19:3 And the spirit of the Egyptians within them will become exhausted and emptied out and will fail, and I will destroy their counsel and confound their plans; and they will seek counsel from the idols and the sorcerers, and from those having familiar spirits (the mediums) and the wizards. Isaiah 65:4 Who sit among the graves [trying to talk with the dead] and lodge among the secret places [or caves where familiar spirits were thought to dwell]; who eat swine's flesh, and the broth of abominable and loathsome things is in their vessels; On generational curses I don't know much. Have to find out:) I found the following two verses, but in the first verse it says that God will visit these father's iniquities onto the children of those who hate Him, so if people don't hate him, that would mean there wouldn't be a curse whatsoever.. And then the example in Jeremiah pretty much says with His new covenant, something different applies. Exodus 20:1-5 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me. But then on the other side is this verse: Jeremiah 31:29-32 In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge. But everyone shall die for his own iniquity [only]; every man who eats sour grapes--his [own] teeth shall be set on edge. Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was their Husband, says the Lord. Mmm..don't know how biblical/unbiblical the concept of generational curses is... Hope someone else has:) I'm definitely interested now:-)
  7. Lord, I pray Your healing over this family. Your love and healing over the little boy, the infection and the leukemia, Lord please heal him. I also bring the unborn baby before you, that whatever the statistics say dear God, for You nothing is impossible, I pray that You will make him healthy and that he will be born healthy. Father, keep the parents in the palm of Your hand in this time of distress, I pray for an outpouring of Your Fatherly love over them, in their thinking and concerns, in the business of going to hospital and trying to making a living. I pray You'll provide for them in all areas of their need! Thank you Jesus because nothing, no nothing is impossible for you!! Your will be done, in the name of Jesus. amen

  10. Thank you Cholette! Amen to what u said, you're right:) and have been meditating on the scriptures that I've got here on this topic. Thought i dealt with all that ages ago, but funny that when we're under pressure certain things try to sneak back in....argh.. But I CAN do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. And: the Lord is on my side, I will Not fear. Thanks for reminding me of where I stand in Christ:)
  11. Hi there, I'd like to ask for prayer for more courage and continuation to step out in what God wants me to do. Later this week I'll be stepping out in an area of ministry I'm leading. I'm a bit scared of being a leader eventhough God has given me abilities. I've planned something different for the night in comparison to how the program used to be and eventhough I know this is what I feel God wants, I'm just a bit nervous. I'm trying to have extra soaking time with God to be in His presence as that's what I need. But extra prayer as the Spirit leads I'd greatly appreciate;-) Thank you:-)
  12. How aweful that must be.. I'm praying for your friend's family and for you too. You are going through a lot right now! Just want to let u know that i am praying for you and for God to be your Comforter and for Him to shine through you to your sick friend and family. God bless you!!!

  19. Justblueskies, fear (as anxiety is..) opposes faith and it's an attack to undermine one's faith. Here are some thoughts as to what I do when I get harassed by fear/anxiety (which I've dealt with a lot in the past): I had to release the fears (whatever they're about and whatever shape or size they come in:) and tell the enemy to back off in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Deliverer! Then I'd confess to God that I (again) hadn't put my trust in Him, eventhough I thought I did... and renew the promise to Him to totally put my trust/confidence in Him, as HE is and always will be in CONTROL:-) , Control I've found is often a trigger for anxiety as we might feel and know that a lot of things are not within our control. This is where our faith in Jesus is so important. Faith that ALL is in God's hand and that He wants to give me peace. I found that every time I allowed even the remotest thought of fear into my mind and went along with that, I went down into all kinds of anxieties...and often I didn't realize it until it was too late and I'd be getting all frustrated about it. I started finding scriptures on fear and what the Word says about it. It's a spirit and that's why u know u can tell it to pack up and send it back to where it came from (2 Tim.1:7, For we have not been given a spirit of fear...) Then after I found the scriptures that were appropriate, I typed them up and stuck them on my office wall (where I spend a lot of time as I'm studying) where I could see them everyday. The reason I had to write them down was, that when I had an anxiety/fear thing happening, my mind almost got paralized (that's what fear/anxiety does) and u tend not to remember the appropriate scriptures. So, having them put up right in my face so to speak, the Word spoke to me when I needed it most and I would say it out loud, couple of times often until I could feel it ministering to me. This and what I said before about sending the fears back to the enemy I've found were/are the best anxiety eliminators for me. I'm sure this would work in the car/wallet/toilet wall/bedroom, wherever u need them.. Some scriptures (ampl.bible) that have ministered to me are; * The Lord is on my side, I will NOT fear. What can man do to me? Psalm 118:6 * For God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a calm and well-balanced mind(a sound mind) and discipline and self-control. 2 Tim.1:7 * So I take comfort and am encouraged and confidently and boldly say, the Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm (I will not fear or dread or be terrified). What can man do to me? * I have strength for all things in Chirst Who empowers me. (Phil.4:13) * Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants know to God. And God's PEACE, which transcends all understanding, shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Phil.4:6-7) I pray this is of help to u. God bless you and give you PEACE!!!!!!! Traveller
